Salegentibacter salarius sp. nov., isolated from a marine solar saltern [PDF]

A Gram-negative, non-motile, rod-shaped bacterium, strain ISL-6T, phenotypically resembling members of the genus Salegentibacter, was isolated from a marine solar saltern of the Yellow Sea in Korea and subjected to a polyphasic taxonomic investigation. Strain ISL-6T grew optimally at pH 7.0–8.0 and 30 °C and in the presence of 8 % (w/v) NaCl.
