Fibrous Pb(II)‐Based Coordination Polymer Operable as a Photocatalyst and Electrocatalyst for High‐Rate, Selective CO2‐to‐Formate Conversion

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A coordination polymer [Pb(tadt)]n prepared by a microwave‐assisted solvothermal method selectively reduces CO2 into formate under visible light with a high apparent quantum yield of ≈25% at 400 nm. It can function as a pre‐catalyst, along with conductive Ketjen Black, to form an active PbCO3/Pb3(CO3)2(OH)2 mixture that exhibits a high Faradaic ...

Improved Efficiency of Perovskite Light-Emitting Diodes Using a Three-Step Spin-Coated CH3NH3PbBr3 Emitter and a PEDOT:PSS/MoO3-Ammonia Composite Hole Transport Layer

open access: yesMicromachines, 2019
High efficiency perovskite light-emitting diodes (PeLEDs) using PEDOT:PSS/MoO3-ammonia composite hole transport layers (HTLs) with different MoO3-ammonia ratios were prepared and characterized. For PeLEDs with one-step spin-coated CH3NH3PbBr3 emitter, an

Micro/nanomaterials for improving solar still and solar evaporation -- A review [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
In last decades, solar stills, as one of the solar desalination technologies, have been well studied in terms of their productivity, efficiency and economics. Recently, to overcome the bottleneck of traditional solar still, improving solar still by optimizing the solar evaporation process based on micro/nanomaterials have been proposed as a promising ...

Selective Reduction Laser Sintering: A New Strategy for NO2 Gas Detection Based on In2O3 Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This research utilizes selective reduction laser sintering (SRLS) to engineer In2O3 NPs for flexible NO2 sensors. The introduction of oxygen vacancy defects enhances sensor performance, offering excellent responsiveness, rapid response/recovery, superior selectivity, low detection limit, and long‐term stability.

Spectrally Selective Solar Absorbers with High-temperature Insensitivity [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
It is of significance to incorporate spectral selectivity technology into solar thermal engineering, especially at high operational temperatures. This work demonstrates spectrally selective solar absorbers made of multilayer tungsten, silica, and alumina thin films that are angular insensitive and polarization-independent.

Analyzing Electronic Excitations and Exciton Binding Energies in Y6 Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The Y6 molecule is used for increasing the efficiency of organic solar cells. The exciton binding energy is calculated for ensembles of Y6 molecules that are representative of the typically used films. The calculations show that the excitons typically spread out over many molecules.
