Ice On Planets of the Solar System [PDF]
AbstractSeveral aspects of space glaciology are considered in the paper. Estimates of the water content of the Earth, Mars, and the Galilean moons of Jupiter are corrected. A considerable proportion of the total amount of water in the solar system is localized near Jupiter; part of this water is contained as ice in glaciations, glacial caps, and ice ...

The Solar System Beyond The Planets [PDF]
The Kuiper belt contains a vast number of objects in a flattened, ring-like volume beyond the orbit of Neptune. These objects are collisionally processed relics from the accretion disk of the Sun and, as such, they can reveal much about early conditions in the Solar system.

The Possibility of Mirror Planet as Planet Nine in Solar System
A series of dynamical anomalies in the orbits of distant trans-Neptunian objects points to a new celestial body (usually named Planet Nine) in the solar system. In this draft, we point out that a mirror planet captured from the outer solar system or formed in the solar system is also a possible candidate.

A distinct semi‐confined inner‐tube chemical vapor deposition geometry enables reproducible, large‐area growth of phase‐pure 2D β′‐In2Se3 from InI + Se precursors. Engineering local vapor transport and optimizing precursor delivery and temperature–time conditions yield uniform continuous films.

A Resonant Beginning for the Solar System’s Terrestrial Planets
Abstract In the past two decades, transit surveys have revealed a class of planets with thick atmospheres—sub-Neptunes—that must have completed their accretion in protoplanet disks. When planets form in the gaseous disk, the gravitational interaction with the disk gas drives their migration and results in the trapping of neighboring ...

3D Printing Innovations in Polymeric Porous and Patterned Architecture
Polymeric foams occupy a unique structural space between dense solids and open networks, where engineered void fraction governs mechanical compliance, thermal resistance, and mass transport. Additive manufacturing now enables precise spatial control over cellular architecture, unlocking designer foam structures across applications spanning crash ...

A substellar flyby that shaped the orbits of the giant planets
The modestly eccentric and non-coplanar orbits of the giant planets pose a challenge to solar system formation theories which generally indicate that the giant planets emerged from the protoplanetary disk in nearly perfectly circular and coplanar orbits.

On the interaction between embedded planets and the corotation region of protoplanetary discs [PDF]
PhDDisc material in the corotation region librates with respect to low-mass planets on horseshoe trajectories. The exchange of angular momentum associated with this libration gives rise to the non-linear corotation torque (the horseshoe drag).

Leaftronics: Bio‐Fractal Scaffolds From Leaf Venation for Low‐Waste Electronics
“Leaftronics” transforms naturally evolved leaf venation into quasi‐fractal scaffolds for sustainable electronics. Polymer‐infiltrated leaf skeletons can be used to fabricate ultra‐smooth, reflow‐ and thin‐film‐compatible decomposable substrates, while making the same lignocellulose networks conducting results in flexible transparent electrodes.
