Ferrocene Derivatives Enable Ultrasensitive Perovskite Photodetectors with Enhanced Reverse Bias Stability

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Novel ferrocene derivatives (e.g., FcPhc2) are used as an ultrathin layer hole‐blocking layer, reducing hole injection from the Ag contact. This results in an ultralow noise spectral density of 1.2 × 10−14 A Hz−1/2, and a high specific detectivity of 8.1 × 1012 Jones at −0.5 V.

Anthrone/XLPE: an adaptive charge capture intelligent insulation material for advanced electric power transmission

open access: yesCommunications Engineering
The degradation of electrical insulation is mainly attributed to local defects. Although incorporating organic small molecules into dielectric polymers promotes the insulation strength, accurate suppression of defect development is a long-term and ...

The differences in the origination and properties of the near-Earth solar wind between solar cycles 23 and 24 [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
The dependence of the sources and properties of the near-Earth solar wind on solar cycle activity is an important issue in solar and space physics. We use the improved two-step mapping procedure that takes into account the initial acceleration processes to trace the near-Earth solar winds back to their source regions from 1999 to 2020, covering solar ...

Solution‐Processable and Ambient‐Stable Highly Conductive p‐Type Polymers Derived from Dihydropyrazine and Ethylenedioxythiophene

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents π–conjugated polymers based on dihydropyrazine (DHP) and ethylenedioxythiophene (EDOT), developed to produce highly conductive, flexible films for printed electronics. By optimizing the DHP and EDOT ratio, strong and compact π–π stacking is achieved, resulting in polymer films with conductivities up to 1700 S cm−1 under ambient ...

On the Role of Chapman's Hydrostatic Solar Wind Mechanism in Parker's Hydrodynamic Solar Wind Model [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
The global role of Chapman's hydrostatic solar wind mechanism in Parker's hydrodynamic solar wind model is investigated by using the de Laval nozzle analogy (Clauser, Parker) for the latter model. The action of solar gravity in Parker's hydrodynamic solar wind model is shown to be geometrically equivalent to a renormalization of the wind channel area ...

Interfacial Interaction‐Mediated Regulation of Metal Oxidation States for Enhanced CO2 Reduction

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A hybrid strategy is employed to optimize bismuth–oxygen interactions, precisely regulating interfacial bismuth–oxygen bonds during topochemical synthesis. This leads to vanadium oxynitride‐bismuth catalyst exhibiting high Faradaic efficiency and durability for formate production, attributed to enhanced reaction thermodynamics and kinetics.

High‐Entropy Liquid Metal Process for Transparent Ultrathin p‐Type Gallium Oxide

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work introduces a doping strategy for harvesting ultrathin Ga oxide layers using a multi‐elemental Ga‐based liquid metal alloy. The incorporation of trivalent In metal into the self‐limiting oxide formed on the alloy's surface is enabled by the existence of atomically dispersed Pt, Au, and Pd.

Self‐Poled Halide Perovskite Ruddlesden‐Popper Ferroelectric‐Photovoltaic Semiconductor Thin Films and Their Energy Harvesting Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Low‐dimensional halide perovskite thin films, (BA)2(MA)n‐1PbnBr3n+1 (n = 1, 2), exhibit both semiconducting and ferroelectric properties, enabling mechanical and light energy harvesting. Using Cr/Cr₂O₃ or PCBM as barrier layers ensures reproducible ferroelectricity.
