High‐Yield, Cost‐Effective Fabrication of High‐Aspect‐Ratio Polyimide Microstructures for Robust Superhydrophobic Surfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This study presents robust polyimide superhydrophobic surfaces with excellent mechanical durability, thermal stability, and chemical stability. A high‐yield and cost‐effective method to fabricate high‐aspect‐ratio polyimide surface microstructures is developed by controlling the template surface treatment, precursor molecular weight, and vacuum process

Decoupling Degradation at the Electrode Interfaces in Prussian White Full Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Prussian White (PW) as a sodium‐ion battery (SIB) cathode material is advancing, having already been commercialized. Yet, capacity fade and cyanide‐related safety risks persist. By integrating Mössbauer‐ and online electrochemical mass spectrometry, this study analyzes degradation in PW cells, observing hydrogen and cyanide evolution.

A Bilayer Micro/Nanostructured Water‐Based Paint With Effective Thermal Insulating and Reflective Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
The design, optimization and characterization of a new bilayer painting system is presented. The underlying layer is engineered to provide exceptional thermal insulation through the synergistic effect of hollow perlite microspheres and micrometer‐sized cellulose particles. The external painting layer is designed to induce the formation of a homogeneous

The Solar Wind

Solar Physics and Solar Wind, 2021
The solar corona produces a continuous outflow of plasma influencing the entire solar system and beyond to over a hundred of astronomical units. Due to the Sun's proximity the source regions of that wind can be observed remotely with great precision and ...

The solar wind [PDF]

open access: possibleSolar Physics, 1985
The current status of our understanding of the nature and origin of the solar wind is briefly reviewed, with emphasis being placed on the need for wave-particle interactions to account for the main energy source as well as details of the particle distribution functions.

ACCELERATION OF THE SOLAR WIND

Space Science Reviews, 1982
In this review, we discuss critically recent research on the acceleration of the solar wind, giving emphasis to high-speed solar wind streams emanating from solar coronal holes. We first explain why thermally driven wind models constrained by solar and interplanetary observations encounter substantial difficulties in explaining high speed streams. Then,
