A study on characteristics of vacuum solenoid valves

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering, 2020
Abstract Vacuum solenoid valves have been widely used in internal combustion engine engines. They are used to regulate various processes in the car’s systems by controlling actuators – for example, variable geometry of the turbocharger, exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valves, various bypass or throttle valves.

Droplet size spectrum, velocity, angle and flow rate of pulse‐width‐modulated spray nozzles with adjuvants

open access: yesPest Management Science, EarlyView.
Optimizing PWM performance requires not only appropriate duty cycle selection, but also careful choice of adjuvant formulation tailored to each nozzle type. Drift control agents increased droplet size and reduced fine droplets, mitigating PWM‐induced variability. Decreasing the duty cycle consistently narrowed the spray angle.

Exploiting Device Deformability for Fluid and Particle Manipulation

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Deformable devices enable fluid and particle manipulation modes that are inaccessible to rigid platforms. This review examines soft materials and architectures that translate controlled deformation into microscale fluid operations such as pumping, valving, mixing, and particle handling.

ANALYSIS OF FORCES ACTING ON THE ANCHOR-VALVE OF A PNEUMATIC SOLENOID VALVE

open access: yesUkrainian Journal of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science
The article presents an analysis of the forces acting on the armature-valve of a pneumatic solenoid valve, which is a key element in pneumatic actuator control systems. The present study is an experimental and theoretical investigation into the influence of magnetic, pneumatic and inertial forces on the dynamics of armature movement.

Influence of an Electromagnetic Field on Direct Reduction of Iron Oxide Using Hydrogen as a Reducing Agent

open access: yessteel research international, EarlyView.
This study investigates the reduction of pure iron oxides and industrial iron ore using hydrogen gas as a reducing agent. Additionally, to determine whether the reduction process can be accelerated, electromagnetic fields of 50 Hz and 25 kHz were applied.
