HOMOLOGY AND MATUI’S HK CONJECTURE FOR GROUPOIDS ON ONE-DIMENSIONAL SOLENOIDS
Bulletin of the Australian Mathematical Society, 2019We show that Matui’s HK conjecture holds for groupoids of unstable equivalence relations and their corresponding $C^{\ast }$ -algebras on one-dimensional solenoids.

AbstractNew concepts are presented for inherent decoupling of multi‐element solenoidal arrays. First, an uneven counter‐rotational (UCR) coil is reported in which two counter‐rotational sections are wound unevenly, resulting in a quasi‐one‐peak sensitivity profile with a null‐B1 point.

Magnetic design constraints of helical solenoids
, 2014Helical solenoids have been proposed as an option for a Helical Cooling Channel for muons in a proposed Muon Collider. Helical solenoids can provide the required three main field components: solenoidal, helical dipole, and a helical gradient.

Comparison of alternate solenoid and long solenoid cooling channels
Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section A: Accelerators, Spectrometers, Detectors and Associated Equipment, 2001Abstract Performances of three cooling channels are compared: (A) FOFO, (B) alternate solenoid channel with additional correcting coils of small radius, (C) long solenoid channel with single or double field flip. A realistic input provided by precooling part with 16 GeV proton beam and carbon target is used in all the cases.
