Graphitized carbons for solid-phase extraction
Journal of Chromatography A, 2000The objective of this review is to provide updated information about the most important features of graphitized carbonaceous sorbents used for solid-phase extraction (SPE) of organic compounds from liquid natural matrices or extracts. The surface characteristics of graphitized carbon blacks and porous graphitic carbons are described which are ...

DNA Extraction: Organic and Solid-Phase
2016DNA extraction remains a critical step in DNA profiling of biological material recovered from scenes of crime. In the forensic community several methods have gained popularity, including Chelex(®), organic extraction, and solid-phase extraction. While some laboratories streamlined their processes and only use one method we have retained several methods

Ion-pair solid-phase extraction
Journal of Chromatography A, 2000Solid-phase extraction (SPE) is a technique widely employed by analytical chemists. SPE cartridges are available in a wide variety of formats containing media with diverse chemistries. This paper will review ion-pair SPE, one of the less frequently applied, and presumably less well-known techniques.

Solid-phase extraction for combinatorial libraries
Journal of Chromatography A, 2000Solid-phase extraction (SPE) has during the last three years emerged as a convenient method for the purification of compound libraries prepared by solution synthesis. The widespread use of SPE in combinatorial chemistry can be explained by straightforward SPE method development facilitated by the availability of numerous commercial SPE resins.

Solid Phase Extraction Troubleshooting
2004Extraction problems that can arise with solid phase extraction are not unlike those that occur with any type of chemical extraction process, including recovery and contamination problems. Since SPE usually requires columnar flow processes, liquid flow problems are possible and more unique to this methodology.

Introduction to Solid Phase Extraction
2004Solid phase extraction (SPE) is a broad term used to describe the separation technique in which liquids contact modified solid surfaces and a component of the liquid adheres to the solid. In a separate step, the solid releases the component. This solid usually consists of an inert core covered with unique hooks that remove the targeted material from ...

Dispersive-Micro-Solid Phase Extraction
Dispersive extraction techniques are valuable for their ability to maximize the interaction between the sample and the extractant, leading to increased extraction efficiency. Dispersive solid phase extraction (dSPE) was initially developed to enhance the selectivity of the analytical process by using a solid phase to retain potential interferents from ...openaire +2 more sources
[Solid phase extraction of BSA].
Ukrains'kyi biokhimichnyi zhurnal (1999 ), 2011Silica with immobilized polyoxyethyle-neisooctylphenol (SiO2-TX) was investigated as an adsorbent for solid phase extraction of bovine serum albumin (BSA). It was shown that efficient BSA extraction (up to 96%) takes place on SiO2-TX from water solution in the form of its ionic associates with cationic (at pH = 8) and anionic (at pH = 1.5) surfactants.
