Temperature-Dependent Carrier Recombination and Efficiency Droop of AlGaN Deep Ultraviolet Light-Emitting Diodes

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2020
We investigate temperature-dependent carrier transfer and efficiency droop on AlGaN-based deep ultraviolet light-emitting diodes. The Shockley-Read-Hall (SRH) recombination and carrier leakage are highly associated with the poor thermal stability.

Effective therapeutic targeting of CTNNB1‐mutant hepatoblastoma with WNTinib

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
WNTinib, a Wnt/CTNNB1 inhibitor, was tested in hepatoblastoma (HB) experimental models. It delayed tumor growth and improved survival in CTNNB1‐mutant in vivo models. In organoids, WNTinib outperformed cisplatin and showed enhanced efficacy in combination therapy, supporting its potential as a targeted treatment for CTNNB1‐mutated HB.

High-resistive layers obtained through periodic growth and in situ annealing of InGaN by metalorganic chemical vapor deposition

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2016
High-resistive layers were obtained by periodic growth and in situ annealing of InGaN. The effect of the annealing temperature of InGaN on the indium content and the material sheet resistive was investigated.

Exploiting metabolic adaptations to overcome dabrafenib treatment resistance in melanoma cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that dabrafenib‐resistant melanoma cells undergo mitochondrial remodeling, leading to elevated respiration and ROS production balanced by stronger antioxidant defenses. This altered redox state promotes survival despite mitochondrial damage but renders resistant cells highly vulnerable to ROS‐inducing compounds such as PEITC, highlighting redox

Solid-State Lighting Module (SSLM) [PDF]

open access: yes
The project's goal was to build a light-emitting-diode (LED)-based light fixture that is identical in fit, form, and function to the existing International Space Station (ISS) General Luminaire Assembly (GLA) light fixture and fly it on the ISS in early ...

Green/Yellow Solid State Lighting via Radiative and Nonradiative Energy Transfer Involving Colloidal Semiconductor Nanocrystals [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Cataloged from PDF version of article.LEDs made of In(x)Ga(1-x)N and (Al(x)Ga(1-x))(1-y)In(y)P suffer from significantly reduced quantum efficiency and luminous efficiency in the green/yellow spectral ranges.

TREX1, a predator for treating MSI‐H tumors?

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Immunotherapy benefits many patients; yet, some with MSI‐H tumors remain unresponsive despite their high immunogenicity. Xu et al. reveal that TREX1 enables immune evasion by degrading cytosolic DNA and suppressing cGAS–STING–IFN‐I signaling. TREX1 loss restores DNA sensing, increases CD8+ T and NK cell infiltration, and boosts antitumor immunity ...

Effect of Carrier Localization and Shockley-Read-Hall Recombination on the Spatial Distribution of Electroluminescence in InGaN LEDs

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2018
We investigate divergent behaviors in the emission of blue and green light-emitting diodes (LEDs) when they are subjected to the current-stress aging.
