Solid quantization for nonpoint particles [PDF]
In quantum field theory, elemental particles are assumed to be point particles. As a result, the loop integrals are divergent in many cases. Regularization and renormalization are necessary to get the physical finite results from the infinite, divergent loop integrations. We propose new quantization conditions for nonpoint particles.

Hydrodynamic and solid residence time distribution in a circulating fluidized bed: experimental and 3D computational study [PDF]
Vertical profiles of local pressure, horizontal profiles of net vertical solid mass flux, and residence time distributions (RTD) of the solid phase are experimentally assessed in the riser of a small scale cold Circulating Fluidized Bed of 9 m high ...

Analysis of the numerical modelling of turbulence in the conical reverse-flow cyclone
The paper describes the numerical modelling of the swirling fluid flow in the Stairmand cyclone (conical reverse-flow – CRF) with tangential inlet (equipment for separating solid particles from the gaseous fluid flow).

When military helicopters and transport aircraft take off and land forcibly on desert or simple runway, sand and dust will cause solid particle erosion damage to aircraft blades, leading to compressor performance degradation and structural integrity damage, which seriously affects the reliability of the engine. For the field of erosion protection, this

Food-Grade Pickering Emulsions: Preparation, Stabilization and Applications
In recent years, Pickering emulsions have emerged as a new method and have attracted much attention in the fields of food sciences. Unlike conventional emulsions, Pickering emulsions are stabilized by solid particles, which can irreversibly adsorb on the

Fluidization of Group B particles with a rotating distributor [PDF]
A novel rotating distributor fluidized bed is presented. The distributor is a rotating perforated plate, with 1% open-area ratio. This work evaluates the performance of this new design, considering pressure drop, Δp, and quality of fluidization.
