Aqueous ammonium‐ion batteries leverage hydrogen‐bond‐mediated NH4+ storage in tunable transition metal compounds. Despite progress in Mn‐, V‐, Mo‐, and W‐based compounds, 2D LDHs, and MXenes, challenges like structural instability and slow kinetics persist. Future advances require robust host design, mechanistic understanding via operando studies, and

Solid-propellant erosive burning
Journal of Propulsion and Power, 1987A modeling approach based on experimental verification for the erosive burning of ammonium perchlorate composite propellants is proposed. It retains the idea that erosive burning is due to the penetration of the flow turbulence within the flame height and to the consequent enhancement of the transport coefficients and of the heat flux to the surface ...

The rheological behaviour of plastic propellent in rocket motor situations is simulated in an experimental technique. In this a differential gas pressure is applied across a plug of propellent in a rigid tube so as to deform it in an approximately telescopic shear fashion. Preliminary results are given and discussed.
