Random-wavelength solid-state laser
Optics Letters, 2004The spectral properties of a diode-pumped Yb:Y2O3 ceramic laser are reported. We show experimentally that the instantaneous emission wavelengths of the laser change randomly with time, whereas its emission has fixed well-defined transverse modes. The central wavelength of the laser emission also shifts prominently with the increase of intracavity light

Recent Progress in 2D Material‐Based Saturable Absorbers for All Solid‐State Pulsed Bulk Lasers
Laser & Photonics reviews, 2019All solid‐state pulsed lasers (ASSPLs) play a significant role in the fields of medical, military, industry, and scientific research. Passive Q‐switching and mode‐locking are two of the most effective techniques for generating ASSPLs, in which a ...

Solid-state Red Laser with a Single Longitudinal Mode from Carbon Dots.
Angewandte Chemie, 2021Miniaturized solid-state lasers with a single longitudinal mode are vital for various photonic applications. Here we prepare red-emissive carbon dots (CDs) with a photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) of 65.5% by combining graphitic nitrogen doping and ...

DUV/VUV All-Solid-State Lasers: Twenty Years of Progress and the Future
IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Quantum Electronics, 2018We briefly review the main methods for generating deep ultraviolet (DUV) or vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) light sources, and describe in detail our progress in the design and development of precise and practical DUV all-solid-state lasers based on second ...

Festkörperlaser (solid state lasers)

Diode Laser—Pumped Solid-State Lasers
Science, 1988Diode laser—pumped solid-state lasers are efficient, compact, all solid-state sources of coherent optical radiation. Major advances in solid-state laser technology have historically been preceded by advances in pumping technology. The helical flash lamps used to pump early ruby lasers were superseded by the linear flash lamp and arc lamp now used to ...
