Solid state laser

Journal of Scientific Instruments, 1964
In a solid state laser, a solid state laser medium is pumped with a pumping source. A wavelength selector element is disposed in a laser resonator and a twisting element makes a mode of an oscillating beam a twisted mode in the laser resonator.

Solid State Lasers

1997
Solid state lasers, especially those based on oxide and fluoride hosts, are presently widely acceptable hosts for various losing ions. The oxide and fluoride crystals have various optical, physical and mechanical properties which can be utilized for specific applications.

Solid State Laser

Kakuyūgō kenkyū, 1987
A solid-state laser apparatus which can cool a solid-state laser medium such that the solid-state laser medium attains a uniform temperature along the propagating direction of light to be amplified is provided. In a solid-state laser apparatus 1, a coolant circulating through flow paths 12a, 12b comes into direct contact with a pair of reflecting end ...

Solid state lasers

Conference on Laser and Electrooptical Systems, 1976
The term, solid state lasers, has come to mean not only the rod-lamp combination but a complete machine with some defined output in space, time, and wavelength. Examples of the most important commercial systems will be presented and their performance related back to the basic limits of their component parts, primarily the laser rod and secondarily the ...

Solid State Lasers

2011
We discuss solid state lasers that make use of electronic states of impurity ions in a dielectric crystals or in glasses—other types of solid state lasers, namely semiconductor lasers that are based on electrons in energy bands of semiconductors, will be treated in later chapters.

Solid-state vibrational laser—KBr:CN^−

Optics Letters, 1984
Laser oscillation at 2054 cm(-1) has been observed from a vibrational transition of the CN(-) molecule doped into KBr host crystals. At sufficiently large CN(-) concentrations, population inversion between the nu = 2 and nu= 1 vibrational levels is created by optical pumping of the 0 ?

Solar-pumped solid-state lasers

IEEE Journal of Quantum Electronics, 1987
Results are presented for direct solar pumping of a Nd:YAG rod laser. Stable CW output of more than 60 W was obtained with a slope efficiency exceeding 2%. A compound parabolic concentrator, designed to increase the solar radiation coupled into the laser rod, was used in these experiments.

Tunable Halide Perovskites for Miniaturized Solid‐State Laser Applications

Advanced Optical Materials, 2019
Halide perovskites have shown great potential in optoelectronic applications, such as a record photovoltaic efficiency of 23.3%, and an achievement of external quantum efficiency beyond 20% in perovskite light‐emitting diodes, as well as other promising ...
