Varieties of magnetic order in solids

Contemporary Physics, 1982
Abstract Mictomagnetism, metamagnetism, asperomagnetism, sperimagnet-ism, speromagnetism, spin glass or cluster glass—this string of jargon is part of a score or more of new terms recently added to the lexicon of magnetism. Few of them appear in standard textbooks.

Pre-solid varieties of semigroups

1995
An identity \(t \approx t'\) of terms of type \(\tau\) is called a hyperidentity [pre-hyperidentity] of a variety \(V\) of this type if substituting terms of the appropriate arity [which are different from variables for operation symbols] the resulting identities are valid in \(V\).

Lattices of \(M\)-solid generalized varieties and \(M\)-solid pseudovarieties

2003
The authors elaborate on lattices and Galois connections arising from a certain seemingly self-induced generalization of concepts conceived by \textit{C. J. Ash} [J. Algebra 92, 104--115 (1985; Zbl 0548.08007)] and \textit{E. Graczyńska, R. Pöschel} and \textit{M.Volkov} [in: K. Denecke et al.

Maps between \(M\)-solid varieties of semigroups

1997
Let \(\tau=(n_i)_{i\in I}\) be a type, \(f_i\) an \(n_i\)-ary operation symbol for every \(n_i\). Let \(W_\tau(X_n)\) be the set of all \(n\)-ary terms of type \(\tau\) over the alphabet \(X_n=\{x_1,\dots,x_n\}\) and \(W_\tau(X)=\bigcup W_\tau(X_n)\).

Pre-solid varieties of commutative semigroups

1995
An identity \(t\approx t'\) of terms of any type is a hyperidentity of a universal algebra \(\mathcal A\) if \(t\approx t'\) holds identically in \(\mathcal A\) for every choice of \(n\)-ary term operations to represent \(n\)-ary operation symbols occurring in \(t\) and in \(t'\), and a variety in which every identity is a hyperidentity is called solid.
