Solitary fibrous tumor of the periosteum
Human Pathology, 1995We report a solitary fibrous tumor (SFT) of the leg that presented as a pedunculated encapsulated soft tissue mass attached to the periosteum of the posterior tibia. To our knowledge this is the first reported case of an SFT in an extremity. In addition to having the typical gross and microscopic appearance of a usual SFT, this SFT also contained ...

Solitary fibrous tumor of the lung
General Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, 2008Solitary fibrous tumors are mesenchymal entities integrated in a mixed group of hemangiopericytoma-like neoplasms. Although classically presented as a pleura-based mass, there are extrapleural sites including the lung. We present the clinical, imaging, and histological features of a solitary fibrous tumor of the lung.

Solitary Fibrous Tumor of the Vagina
The American Journal of Dermatopathology, 2000We report of a solitary fibrous tumor (SFT) of the vagina and discuss the differential diagnosis. This is the first SFT documented, to our knowledge. SFTs should be included in the differential diagnosis of fibroblastic, myofibroblastic, and neural lesions of the skin, subcutaneous tissue, and mucosa and can be distinguished from other spindle cell ...

Solitary Fibrous Tumor of the Skin
The American Journal of Dermatopathology, 1997Solitary fibrous tumor (SFT) is a rare mesenchymal neoplasm that most commonly involves the pleura, but is increasingly more often observed in extrapleural locations. A 37-year-old woman presented with an SFT involving the skin and subcutaneous tissue of the scalp. Histologically, SFT is well circumscribed and composed of uniform spindle cells arranged

Solitary fibrous tumor of the pleura
Medical Oncology, 2013Solitary fibrous tumor of the pleura (SFTP) is a rare tumor of mesenchymal origin which can grow to a large size and present with symptoms of cough and pleuritic chest pain. No specific etiological factors for SFTPs are known and they may grow undetected for several years. These tumors are usually benign and may mimic a variety of malignancies.

Solitary Fibrous Tumor of the Orbit
Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, 1998Solitary fibrous tumor (SFT) of the orbit is a very rare lesion that may be misdiagnosed as fibrous histiocytoma, hemangiopericytoma, or other orbital tumors. We present a 62-year-old man who presented with painless proptosis, 20 years following left eye enucleation for a presumed neurofibroma.

Solitary fibrous tumor of the pleura
Seminars in Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, 2003Solitary fibrous tumors of the pleura are an uncommon but increasingly recognized neoplasm derived from mesenchymal cells located in the submesothelial lining of the pleural space. They may be differentiated from mesotheliomas and other pleural tumors due to unique immunohistochemical characteristics.

Solitary fibrous tumor of the ovary
Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Research, 2018AbstractSolitary fibrous tumors commonly occur in the pleura and are rare elsewhere, especially in the female genital system. We present a case of a solitary fibrous tumor arising from the ovary in a young female in the reproductive age group. The tumor could be excised laparoscopically.
