Pan‐TRK expression and NTRK gene aberrations in meningiomas: association with tumor grade and proliferative activity

open access: yesThe Journal of Pathology: Clinical Research, Volume 12, Issue 4, July 2026.
Abstract Tropomyosin receptor kinase (TRK) fusions are actionable oncogenic drivers, and pan‐TRK immunohistochemistry (IHC) serves as a reliable screening tool for NTRK gene aberrations. However, the expression profile and clinical significance of pan‐TRK in meningiomas remain unclear.

A living biobank of sarcoma patient‐derived cell cultures reveals multi‐omic and functional insights that capture disease heterogeneity

open access: yesClinical and Translational Medicine, Volume 16, Issue 7, July 2026.
Preclinical models for sarcoma that preserve tumour biology are urgently needed to advance mechanistic understanding and functional precision oncology. 29 early‐passage patient‐derived sarcoma cell (PDC) cultures from 19 patients, representing 11 sarcoma subtypes were established and extensively characterized.

Biphenotypic Sinonasal Sarcoma With a Novel PAX3::MAML2 Fusion

open access: yesGenes, Chromosomes and Cancer, Volume 65, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Biphenotypic sinonasal sarcoma (BSNS) is a rare, low‐grade spindle cell sarcoma of the sinonasal tract. It is characterized by dual neural and myogenic differentiation and classically shows fusions involving PAX3. MAML3, a co‐activator in the Notch signaling pathway, is the most common fusion partner of PAX3.

Giant solitary fibrous tumor pleura: Clinical dilemma and diagnosis

open access: yesLung India, 2012
Solitary fibrous tumors in the lung are rare neoplasms with distinct clinicopathological and immunohistochemical features. We report a giant solitary fibrous tumor of the pleura in a young male which remained silent clinically till it assumed gigantic ...

Psychosocial Impact of Sarcoma: Challenges and Adaptation, a Meta‐Synthesis

open access: yesPsycho-Oncology, Volume 35, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Objectives Sarcoma is a rare and heterogeneous cancer frequently associated with significant psychosocial burden. This review aims to synthesise qualitative research to examine the psychosocial impact of sarcoma in adults, focusing on how individuals experience and make sense of disruption across diagnosis, treatment, recovery, and ...

Doege–Potter syndrome in benign relapse of solitary fibrous tumour of the pleura: An exotic clinical setting

open access: yesLung India
Solitary fibrous tumors are mesenchymal neoplasms that make up 2% of soft tissue tumors. Doege-Potter syndrome (DPS) occurs between 5-10% of patients with solitary fibrous tumor of the pleura (SFTP).
