Nonlinear behavior of dispersive solitary wave solutions for the propagation of shock waves in the nonlinear coupled system of equations [PDF]
In this paper, the nonlinear coupled system of partial differential equations named the Wu–Zhang system investigated by applying the new auxiliary equation method.

Unusual impulse-momentum relationship in non-reciprocal light interactions [PDF]
Non-reciprocal interactions, featured with an asymmetric relation between action and reaction, underpin exotic phenomena across living and artificial systems.

Numerical Generation of Solitary Wave and Its Propagation Characteristics in a Step-Type Flume
This work concerns the numerical generation of stable solitary waves by using a piston-type wave maker and the propagation characteristics of a solitary wave in a step-type flume.

Numerical Simulation of the Force Acting on the Riser by Two Internal Solitary Waves
An internal wave is a typical dynamic process. As an internal wave, an internal solitary wave usually occurs between two layers of fluids with different densities.

In the present work we explore the concept of solitary wave billiards. I.e., instead of a point particle, we examine a solitary wave in an enclosed region and explore its collision with the boundaries and the resulting trajectories in cases which for particle billiards are known to be integrable and for cases that are known to be chaotic.

AbstractThis paper gives an overview of our recent work on the fission solitary wave reactor concept. In order to gain an insight into this problem a simple but appropriate model, namely a one–group diffusion equation coupled with simplified burn–up equations of e.g. the common U238–Pu239 conversion chain is studied.

Effects of vorticity on solitary waves
The vorticity effect on solitary wave profiles has not been solved experimentally; previous studies theoretically and numerically showed that when a solitary wave progressed in the positive direction, the effective wavelength of a solitary wave with ...
