Fabrication of Pyridinic Nitrogen‐Functionalized Carbon Cloth for High‐Performance Iron‐Chromium Flow Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The carbon cloth electrode with targeted pyridinic nitrogen doping, achieved via urea pyrolysis, effectively modulates the adsorption of Cr(II) species and enhances electron transfer, leading to significantly improved kinetics of the Cr(II)/Cr(III) reaction. The material demonstrates a high discharge capacity of 689.3 mAh and an energy efficiency of 72.

New soliton solution to the longitudinal wave equation in a magneto-electro-elastic circular rod

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2018
This paper examines the effectiveness of an integration scheme which called the extended trial equation method (ETEM) in exactly solving a well-known nonlinear equation of partial differential equations (PDEs).

Classification of Bounded Travelling Wave Solutions of the General Burgers-Boussinesq Equation [PDF]

open access: yesMathematics Interdisciplinary Research, 2019
By using bifurcation theory of planar dynamical systems, we classify all bounded travelling wave solutions of the general Burgers-Boussinesq equation, and we give their corresponding phase portraits.

Opinion: Gavage Administration of MXene as a Route‐Specific Alternative to Intravenous Injection into the Bloodstream of Laboratory Animals for Reducing Systemic Nanotoxicity Risks in Immunosuppression and Post‐Transplantation Models with Bile Acid Modification

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Recent studies reported immunosuppressive properties of specific MXene nanomaterials. Their intravenous injection into the bloodstream of laboratory animals has been a common delivery method to suppress systemic inflammation and prevent transplant rejection.

The Propagation of Nonlinear Internal Waves under the Influence of Variable Topography and Earth’s Rotation in a Two-Layer Fluid

open access: yesFluids, 2020
A nonlinear equation of the Korteweg–de Vries equation usually describes internal solitary waves in the coastal ocean that lead to an exact solitary wave solution. However, in any real application, there exists the Earth’s rotation.

Mixed‐Metal Promotion in a Manganese‐Molybdenum Oxynitride as Catalyst to Integrate C─C and C─N Coupling Reactions for the Direct Synthesis of Acetonitrile from Syngas and Ammonia

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Transition metal oxy/carbo‐nitrides show great promise as catalysts for sustainable processes. A Mn‐Mo mixed‐metal oxynitride attains remarkable performance for the direct synthesis of acetonitrile, an important commodity chemical, via sequential C─N and C─C coupling from syngas (C1) and ammonia (N1) feedstocks.

Solitary interfacial hydroelastic waves [PDF]

open access: yesPhilosophical Transactions of the Royal Society A: Mathematical, Physical and Engineering Sciences, 2017
Solitary waves travelling along an elastic plate present between two fluids with different densities are computed in this paper. Different two-dimensional configurations are considered: the upper fluid can be of infinite extent, bounded by a rigid wall or under a second elastic plate.

In Situ Amine Formation to Modulate MOF‐Derived PdIn N‐Doped Carbon Catalysts

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
An amine‐assisted approach converts PdIn‐MOF into PdIn intermetallic nanoparticles embedded in N‐doped carbon. In situ‐generated amines trigger early Pd nucleation, producing smaller PdIn domains than direct pyrolysis. Amine sterics and basicity tune composition and particle size, while solvent and amine co‐determine textural features.
