Lump, breather and solitary wave solutions to new reduced form of the generalized BKP equation
International journal of numerical methods for heat & fluid flow, 2019Purpose The purpose of this paper is to explore new reduced form of the (3 + 1)-dimensional generalized B-type Kadomtsev-Petviashvili (BKP) equation by considering its bilinear equations, derived from connection between the Hirota’s transformation and ...

Solitary Wave Solution to Boussinesq Equations
Journal of Waterway, Port, Coastal, and Ocean Engineering, 1997The exact solitary wave solution to the Boussinesq equations, which was given in an implicit integral form, is further studied in the present note. Through numerical curve fitting, an explicit closed-form empirical solution whose profile is nearly identical to the exact solution is obtained.

Construction of Stationary Solitary Wave Solutions
Journal of the Physical Society of Japan, 1985A construction of stationary solitary wave solutions to nonlinear partial differential equations is presented. First, it is shown that one of fifty Painleve-type ordinary differential equations intimately connects with one-soliton solutions which are stationary solitary wave ones of usual soliton equations.

Analyticity of Solitary-Wave Solutions of Model Equations for Long Waves
SIAM Journal on Mathematical Analysis, 1996Summary: It is shown that solitary-wave solutions of model equations for long waves have an analytic extension to a strip in the complex plane that is symmetric about the real axis. The classes of equations to which the analysis applies include equations of Korteweg-de Vries type, the regularized long-wave equations, and particular instances of ...

Solitary-wave solutions of nonlinear problems
Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society of London. Series A, Mathematical and Physical Sciences, 1990A general method is presented for the exact treatment of analytical problems that have solutions representing solitary waves. The theoretical framework of the method is developed in abstract first, providing a range of fixed-point theorems and other useful resources.

Modern physics letters B, 2019
In this work, we consider the nonlinear longitudinal wave equation (LWE) which involves mathematical physics with dispersal produced by the phenomena of transverse Poisson’s effect in a magneto-electro-elastic (MEE) circular rod. We use the extended form

Solitary Wave Solutions for Ultrashort Optical Pulses
Frontiers in Optics 2008/Laser Science XXIV/Plasmonics and Metamaterials/Optical Fabrication and Testing, 2008We consider the propagation of ultrashort optical pulses in nonlinear dispersive media without using slow envelope approximations. Shortest and most intense pulses propagating in a stationary manner are found as well as classical envelope solitons.

Solitary wave solutions of nonlinear PDEs using Kudryashov's R function method
, 2020Applications of a new function introduced by Kudryashov [Optik. 2020;206:163550] to obtain solitary wave solutions of nonlinear PDEs through their travelling wave reductions are considered.

Solitonic solutions have become a popular topic among traveling wave solutions since they act as a bridge between mathematics and physics. In this article, two newly developed methods, namely the extended rational sine-cosine method and extended rational
