Solitary wave solution of flat surface internal geophysical waves with vorticity [PDF]
A fluid system bounded by a flat bottom and a flat surface with an internal wave and depth-dependent current is considered. The Hamiltonian of the system is presented and the dynamics of the system are discussed. A long-wave regime is then considered and extended to produce a KdV approximation. Finally, a solitary wave solution is obtained.

ABSTRACT This study carries significant consequences in various engineering applications, such as cooling rotating disk surfaces, improving chemical reactor performance, and designing filtration systems. Considering these main applications in view, the aim of this study is to investigate time‐dependent Casson hybrid nanofluid flow on a permeable ...

First‐principles calculations reveal that ANaH3 (where A = Hf, Nb, Pd, Ru) perovskite hydrides combine structural stability, favorable electronic properties, and low hydrogen desorption temperatures (280–369 K). Strong metal–hydrogen interactions and reversible hydrogen storage characteristics identify these materials as promising candidates for ...

Abstract Analysis of the variation in the bony structures of the inner and middle ear provides critical insights into functional morphology, as well as adaptive morphology across primates. In this study, we investigated whether ear morphology patterns are related to the ecological characteristics of species and their habitats to test two acoustic ...

THE SOLITARY WAVE SOLUTIONS FOR A CLASS OF NONLINEAR WAVE EQUATIONS
Some solitary wave solutions for a class of nonlinear wave equations utt-a1uxx+a2ut+a3u+a4u3=0 are obtained by homogeneous balance method and Wu-eliminition method. Many well-known equations in physics such as φ4 equation, Klein-Gordon equation, Duffing equation and telegraph equation are special cases of the wave equation presented in this paper.

Carrion ecology: concepts, interdisciplinary synthesis, and perspectives
ABSTRACT Carrion is a ubiquitous resource in both terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, yet it has long been overlooked in ecological research. Over the past two decades, studies on carrion and the many organisms that exploit it have flourished, revealing not only wide‐ranging ecological functions but also significance far beyond ecology.

Er‐doping and the photocatalytic memory effect through visible‐light irradiation synergistically reconstruct internal electronic states of ultrathin Er‐doped BiOCl nanosheets and generate stable oxygen vacancies. Light absorption, charge carrier separation, and CO2 adsorption capability are subsequently enhanced, leading to a significant increase in ...

Solitary wave solutions of the Vakhnenko–Parkes equation
In this paper, two solitary wave solutions are obtained for the Vakhnenko–Parkes equation with power law nonlinearity by the ansatz method. Both topological as well as non-topological solitary wave solutions are obtained.
