Plasma Stability in Turbulent Magnetic Flux Ropes Downstream of a Collisionless Shock

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 11, 16 June 2026.
Abstract How pre‐existing solar wind turbulence, and coherent structures such as magnetic flux ropes within it, influence the transition of plasma across a shock is still poorly understood. Recently, in situ observations from the Earth's magnetosheath have been used to study plasma stability against ion kinetic instabilities. In the turbulent flow, the

Lagrangian structures and multidimensional consistency [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The conventional point of view is that the Lagrangian is a scalar object (or equivalently a volume form), which through the Euler-Lagrange equations provides us with one single equation (i.e., one per component of the dependent variable ...

Soliton Solutions of the Kaup-Kupershmidt and Sawada-Kotera Equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In this paper I seek soliton solutions of two-component generalizations of the Kaup- Kupershmidt and Sawada-Kotera equations, for this purpose I will apply the extended tanh method.

Geometrical representation and Hirota direct approach for multiple soliton solutions of nonlinear M-coupled fractional equations

open access: yesMathematical and Computer Modelling of Dynamical Systems
This paper introduces a novel analytical framework for deriving multiple soliton and singular soliton solutions to M-coupled fractional evolution equations.

High‐Energy Topological Edge States and Strain‐Induced Multiple Flat Bands in a Honeycomb Lattice

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 15, Issue 11, 13 June 2026.
This work proposes a novel anti‐twig edge in the honeycomb lattice that supports two symmetric high‐energy edge states. Moreover, the suppression or enhancement of the high‐energy edge state is observed, and strain‐induced multiple flat bands are produced.

Localized Soliton Solutions for the Davey-Stewartson I and Davey-Stewartson III Equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
It is shown that a new Davey-Stewartson equation (which we call DSIII), in addition to the so called DSI and DSII equations, can be linearized. Moreover, the DSIII equation admits localized soliton solutions with properties similar to those of the DSI ...

Dynamical behavior of kink solitons in nonlinear Chaffee-Infante equations with chaotic and bifurcation analysis

open access: yesAin Shams Engineering Journal
The Chaffee-Infante Equations (CIEs) are modified types of reaction-diffusion equations which are frequently employed in research of phase transitions, pattern generation and nonlinear wave dynamics.

Symmetry methods for integrable systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
This thesis discusses various properties of a number of differential equations which we will term "integrable". There are many definitions of this word, but we will confine ourselves to two possible characterisations — either an equation can be ...

Soliton solutions for quasilinear Schrödinger equations, II [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
For a class of quasilinear Schrödinger equations, we establish the existence of ground states of soliton-type solutions by a variational ...
