Solitons on the supermembrane [PDF]
Energy bounds are derived for planar and compactified M2-branes in a hyper-Kähler background. These bounds are saturated, respectively, by lump and Q-kink solitons, which are shown to preserve a half of the worldvolume supersymmetry. The Q-kinks have a dual IIB interpretation as strings that migrate between fivebranes.

Formation of a novel hybrid-vector spatial plasmon-soliton in a Kerr slab embedded in-between metal plates is predicted and analyzed with a modified NLSE, encompassing hybrid vector field characteristics. Assisted by the transverse plasmonic effect, the self trapping dimension of the plasmon-soliton was substantially compressed (compared to the ...

We numerically obtain a class of soliton solutions for Einstein gravity in $(n+1)$ dimensions coupled to massive abelian gauge fields and with a negative cosmological constant with Lifshitz asymptotic behaviour. We find that for all $n\geq3$, a discrete set of magic values for the charge density at the origin (guaranteeing an asymptotically Lifshitz ...

ON NONCOMMUTATIVE SOLITONS [PDF]
We consider (2+1)-dimensional classical noncommutative scalar field theory. The general ansatz for a radially symmetric solution is obtained. Some exact solutions are presented. Their possible physical meaning is discussed. The case of finite θ is discussed qualitatively and illustrated by some numerical results.

Supersolitons: Solitonic Excitations in Atomic Soliton Chains [PDF]
We show that, by appropriately tuning physically relevant interactions in two-component nonlinear Schrodinger equations, it is possible to achieve a regime with particle-like solitonic collisions. This allows us to construct an analogue of the Newton's cradle and also to create localized collective excitations in solitary-wave chains which are quasi ...
