Polyphonie narrative et heuristique dans L’Erreur de Cecil Saint‐Laurent

open access: yesOrbis Litterarum, Volume 80, Issue 3, Page 239-268, June 2025.

Joint analysis of longitudinal count and binary response data in the presence of outliers

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Statistics, Volume 53, Issue 1, March 2025.
Abstract In this article, we develop an innovative, robust method for jointly analyzing longitudinal count and binary responses. The method is useful for bounding the influence of potential outliers in the data when estimating the model parameters. We use a log‐linear model for the count response and a logistic regression model for the binary response,

Analyzing linguistic variation using discursive worlds

open access: yesJournal of Sociolinguistics, Volume 28, Issue 4, Page 40-63, September 2024.
Abstract Researchers in variationist sociolinguistics have long sought to develop social measures that are more sophisticated than demographic categories such as age, gender, and social class, while still being useful for quantitative analysis. This paper presents one such new measure: discursive worlds.

Beyond borders: A cross‐cultural analysis of consumption and purchase behaviour of sweeteners in yoghurts

open access: yesFood Frontiers, Volume 5, Issue 4, Page 1687-1708, July 2024.
The current research delves into a comprehensive examination of sociocultural factors influencing the sugar‐consumption patterns through the integration of the TPB framework with consumer perception and acceptance constructs in three diverse countries: New Zealand, France, and Singapore.

Investigation of piroctone olamine delivery to the skin from single, binary and ternary solvent systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cosmetic Science, Volume 46, Issue 3, Page 357-367, June 2024.
To our knowledge, this is the first study to examine the permeation behaviour of OPX for a range of single, binary and ternary solvent systems in human skin in vitro. The findings reported serve to further optimize vehicles that promote deposition of OPX on and in the skin.

Habitat selection by Grevy's zebra (Equus grevyi): Conservation implications

open access: yesAfrican Journal of Ecology, Volume 62, Issue 1, January 2024.
Abstract Understanding the spatial dynamics of landscape use by free‐ranging herbivores is essential for species management and conservation in its natural environment. We used Ivelv’s selection index, binary logistic regression analyses and stepwise regression to understand how environmental factors shape habitat selection by the Grevy’s zebra (Equus ...

Flirting with a basic income in Canada: Were the lessons worth the risk of popular backlash?

open access: yesInternational Social Security Review, Volume 77, Issue 1-2, Page 67-83, January-June 2024.
Abstract Canada responded to the COVID‐19 pandemic with a series of supports, including direct payments to workers displaced by public health measures. While not a true basic income, the experience highlighted a number of issues including challenges with implementation and intergovernmental relations that affected public opinion and must be dealt with ...
