Traveling Wave Solutions for a Combustion Problem
Studies in Applied Mathematics, 1989A simple model for combustion consisting of two parabolic equations is considered. It is shown that plane wave solutions exist. Certain invariant integrals are obtained, from which a nonexistence criterion is derived. The effect of the wave speed on the shape of the wave is deduced.

SCSTempCal Software for Solution-Combustion-Synthesis Applications
International Journal of Self-Propagating High-Temperature Synthesis, 2020Windows-based SCSTempCal computer program for calculating maximum combustion temperatures (Tmax) attained in SCS reactions was suggested in both English and Russian versions. The program affords for estimating Tmax at four approaches, as well as for modeling SCS reactions by method of successive corrections.

Parallel Solution Combustion Synthesis for Combinatorial Materials Studies
Journal of Combinatorial Chemistry, 2005A parallel solution combustion synthesis technique was developed for combinatorial materials studies. The vigorous combustion reactions were successfully limited in the microreactors by using a substrate-net-mask microreactor system and the lowest adoptable furnace temperature.

Corrosion in Recycled Wood Combustion—Reasons, Consequences, and Solutions
Energy & Fuels, 2019Combustion of recycled wood leads to increased corrosion problems of furnace walls. One of the causes is known to be the elevated concentrations of heavy metals and chlorine and rather low levels o...

Solution Combustion Synthesis of Calcium Hydroxyapatite Nanoparticles
Transactions of the Indian Ceramic Society, 2004Nanoparticles of calcium hydroxyapatite, Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2, (HA) an important material for biomedical applications and other non-medical uses were synthesized by combustion in the aqueous system Ca-nitrate—diammonium hydrogen orthophos-phate-urea. The combustion behaviour and phase evolution with respect to the Ca/P atom ratio in the starting materials ...

Solution combustion synthesis of nanostructured molybdenum carbide
Journal of Nanoparticle Research, 2018A novel approach for the preparation of molybdenum carbide by solution combustion synthesis (SCS) combined with subsequent programmed heating of SCS products was proposed using ammonium heptamolybdate (AHM) and organic reducers (glycine, alanine, glucose, etc.) as precursors.

Solution-combustion synthesis and eletroconductivity of CaZrO3
International Journal of Self-Propagating High-Temperature Synthesis, 2015Solution-combustion synthesis and electroconductivity of calcium zirconate with glycine used as a fuel were explored. The reaction temperature was measured as a function of fuel to oxidant ratio (φ). Displacement of maximum combustion temperature T m toward φ > 1.0 was observed.

ENTROPY SOLUTIONS OF A CHAPMAN–JOUGUET COMBUSTION MODEL
Mathematical Models and Methods in Applied Sciences, 2012We consider the Riemann problem for a Chapman–Jouguet combustion model which comes from Majda's model with a modified, bump-type ignition function proposed in [G. Lyng and K. Zumbrun, Arch. Rational Mech. Anal. 173 (2004) 213–277; Physica D 194 (2004) 1–29].

Technical Solutions for the Use of Internal Combustion Engine Combustion Gases
2019Internal combustion engines have an efficiency of operating which can be exploit to increase its performance. The analysis of the energy balance of the internal combustion engine shows that there is an important reserve of exhaust gas energy, which can be capitalized in the direction of increasing the indicated yield. One solution is to use this energy

Combustion synthesis of urania–thoria solid solutions
Journal of Nuclear Materials, 2000Abstract The feasibility of the combustion synthesis using citric acid as the fuel was studied in order to prepare a homogeneous mixture of uranium dioxide–thorium dioxide feed powder that could be cold compacted without binder or lubricant and sintered to a high density (⩾95% theoretical density) at relatively low temperatures (⩾1573 K).
