High Concentration of Ti3C2Tx MXene in Organic Solvent.

ACS Nano, 2021
MXenes are currently one of the most widely studied two-dimensional materials due to their properties. However, obtaining highly dispersed MXene materials in organic solvent remains a significant challenge for current research.

Solvent effect in a “solvent free” reaction

CrystEngComm, 2007
Vapour digestion of a mixture of solid [Fe(η5-C5H4–C5H4N)2] and solid pimelic acid HOOC(CH2)5COOH in the presence of solvent vapours generates co-crystals of different stoichiometry depending on the protic or aprotic nature of the solvent. The nature of the products has been ascertained by a combined use of SSNMR and X-ray diffraction.

Study of solute–solvent and solvent–solvent interactions in pure and mixed binary solvents

Journal of Molecular Liquids, 2008
Abstract Solute–solvent and solvent–solvent interactions have been studied in fifteen pure solvents and seven binary aqueous mixtures by monitoring the solubility of a dye in the solvents. The standard Gibbs energy of solvation, as given by log s , where s is the solubility has been found to depend on various modes of solute–solvent interaction ...

Quantum Calculation of Molecular Energies and Energy Gradients in Solution by a Conductor Solvent Model

, 1998
A new implementation of the conductor-like screening solvation model (COSMO) in the GAUSSIAN94 package is presented. It allows Hartree−Fock (HF), density functional (DF) and post-HF energy, and HF and DF gradient calculations:  the cavities are modeled ...

Solvents and Solvent Effects:  An Introduction [PDF]

open access: possibleOrganic Process Research & Development, 2006
Solution chemistry is carried out in solvents, that is in liquids under the conditions of application, which can exert a considerable influence on the properties of the dissolved solute species. A short historical overview on the influence of solvents on chemical processes (equilibria, reaction rates) and physical processes (absorption spectra ...

Solvatochromic Dyes as Solvent Polarity Indicators

, 1994
This review compiles positively and negatively solvatochromic compounds which have been used to establish empirical scales of solvent polarity by means of UV/vis/near-IR spectroscopic measurements in solution-with particular emphasis on the E ~ ( 3 0 ...
