Electrospun nanosized cellulose fibers using ionic liquids at room temperature [PDF]
Aiming at replacing the noxious solvents commonly employed, ionic-liquid-based solvents have been recently explored as novel non-volatile and non-flammable media for the electrospinning of polymers.

Population size and dynamics fundamentally shape speciation by influencing genetic drift, founder events, and adaptive potential. Small populations may speciate rapidly due to stronger drift, whereas large populations harbor more genetic diversity, which can alter divergence trajectories. We highlight theoretical models that incorporate population size

We describe the clinical evaluation of the nervous-system effects of solvent exposure. We review the current evidence in the epidemiological literature on neurotoxicological effects of solvents, and outline methods and issues to be taken into account in assessment of the patient whose symptoms may be related to solvent toxicity.

The properties of electrolyte solutions in nonaqueous and mixed solvents [PDF]
This paper constitutes a reviev of the results of investigations on electrolyte solutions in some organic solvents that behaves similarly to water from thermochemical point of vi,»w as well as in some water - organic mixed solvents.

FoxO1 signaling in B cell malignancies and its therapeutic targeting
FoxO1 has context‐specific tumor suppressor or oncogenic character in myeloid and B cell malignancies. This includes tumor‐promoting properties such as stemness maintenance and DNA damage tolerance in acute leukemias, or regulation of cell proliferation and survival, or migration in mature B cell malignancies.

ECOLOGICAL CLEANING SYSTEMS FOR OLD ICONS PAINTED IN TEMPERA [PDF]
Old icons, especially those involved in liturgical rituals are affected in time by external agents factors (temperature, humidity, light, pollution, microbiological attack, abrasion etc.), resulting changes of the appearance and of the structural ...

Insights into PI3K/AKT signaling in B cell development and chronic lymphocytic leukemia
This Review explores how the phosphoinositide 3‐kinase and protein kinase B pathway shapes B cell development and drives chronic lymphocytic leukemia, a common blood cancer. It examines how signaling levels affect disease progression, addresses treatment challenges, and introduces novel experimental strategies to improve therapies and patient outcomes.

In lymphoid organs, antigen recognition and B cell receptor signaling rely on integrins and the cytoskeleton. Integrins act as mechanoreceptors, couple B cell receptor activation to cytoskeletal remodeling, and support immune synapse formation as well as antigen extraction.

Z-Selective Homodimerization of Terminal Olefins with a Ruthenium Metathesis Catalyst [PDF]
The cross-metathesis of terminal olefins using a novel ruthenium catalyst results in excellent selectivity for the Z-olefin homodimer. The reaction was found to tolerate a large number of functional groups, solvents, and temperatures while maintaining ...
