Single-base resolution methylomes of somatic embryogenesis in Theobroma cacao L. reveal epigenome modifications associated with somatic embryo abnormalities [PDF]
Propagation by somatic embryogenesis in Theobroma cacao has some issues to be solved, as many morphologically abnormal somatic embryos that do not germinate into plants are frequently observed, thus hampering plant production on a commercial scale.

Variability in somatic embryo-forming capacity of spinach. [PDF]
AbstractHigh variability in somatic embryo (SE)-forming capacity has previously been observed in several spinach cultivars. Such variability frequently accounted for more variation in embryogenic response of the explants than the factor being investigated.

Haploidy of somatic cells in mouse oocyte using somatic cell nuclear transfer
Haploidization in somatic cells is the process of reducing the diploid somatic chromosomes to haploid. Several studies have attempted somatic haploidization using oocytes in mice and humans.

Failure in the epigenetic reprogramming of somatic cells is considered the main reason for lower cloned embryo development efficiency. Lysine crotonylation (Kcr) occupies an important position in epigenetic modification, while its effects on somatic cell

Embryonic proteins in somatic embryos of carrot [PDF]
The translational profile of cultured carrot cells (callus) was compared with that of the somatic embryos derived from them. The two tissues synthesize almost the same number and kinds of polypeptides except for two “embryonic” proteins. These were found in the somatic embryos but were nearly undetectable in the callus.

Somatic embryogenesis is the formation of a plant embryo from a cell other than the product of gametic fusion. The need to recognize the determinants of somatic cell fate has prompted investigations on how endogenous factors of donor tissues can ...

The embryogenic potential of long-term proliferation cell lines of Larix sibirica in vitro [PDF]
The study of embryogenic potential of Larix sibirica was conducted using zygotic embryos of trees resistant to larch bud midge as explants. Immature isolated zygotic embryos and megagamethophytes of Larix sibirica were experimentally cultured on AI ...
