Fusion of Local Statistical Parameters for Buried Underwater Mine Detection in Sonar Imaging
Detection of buried underwater objects, and especially mines, is a current crucial strategic task. Images provided by sonar systems allowing to penetrate in the sea floor, such as the synthetic aperture sonars (SASs), are of great interest for the ...

Environmental Stressors Influence Spatial Complexity in a Fluvial Macrophyte meadow
This research investigates the nonlinear relationships between environmental stressors and the fine‐scale spatial complexity of a fluvial macrophytes meadow. The use of multivariate spatial analysis allowed us to identify two major environmental gradients (nutrients and light) and two major complexity gradients (related to abundance and fragmentation).

ABSTRACT The increasing exposure of global supply chains to environmental, social, and operational disruptions has intensified scholarly interest in sustainability and resilience. While these concepts are widely discussed, existing research often addresses them separately, preventing understanding of their combined role in supply chain management.

Noise Suppression for Direction of Arrival Estimation in Co-located MIMO Sonar
Noise suppression capacity in multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) sonar signal processing is derived under the assumption of white Gaussian noise. However, underwater noise mainly includes white Gaussian noise and colored noise.

Examining the Role of Economic Complexity and Climate Readiness in the Climate‐Fishing Nexus
ABSTRACT This paper investigates the climate‐fisheries association in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nations from 1999 to 2022. A key objective is to explore the role of both the economic complexity index (ECI) and the climate readiness factor (READ) in the climate‐fishing nexus.

ABSTRACT The FAO's “blue transformation” roadmap necessitates a fundamental shift towards precision aquaculture to meet global food security targets while minimizing environmental footprints. This review provides a comprehensive overview of how artificial intelligence (AI) and decision support systems (DSS) serve as pivotal enablers for the “better ...

Unbiased Injection of Signal-Dependent Noise in Variance-Stabilized Range
<p>The design, optimization, and validation of many image processing or image-based analysis systems often requires testing of the system performance over a dataset of images corrupted by noise at different signal-to-noise ratio regimes.

Geo2DGS‐SLAM: Geometry‐Driven SLAM With 2D Gaussian Splatting
ABSTRACT Recent advances in SLAM systems based on 3D Gaussian Splatting have enabled dense and photorealistic scene reconstruction. However, 3DGS‐based methods still suffer from limited geometric awareness due to the lack of normal rendering support, view inconsistency and weak depth constraints, ultimately hindering high‐fidelity geometric ...
