Disturbances of sleep by sonic booms
Science of The Total Environment, 1974After a pilot study (two subjects, 19 nights), we tested two different subjects during 57 nights, administering sonic booms (1 mbar, 300 msec; sound level in the bedroom 80–85 dBA and recording EEG and peripheral blood volume. After five nights without noise, 35 nights with either two or four sonic booms (alternately) were applied.
