The GSK3/SHAGGY‐like OsGSK3 phosphorylates and inhibits phase separation of OsFCA at Ser‐43 and Ser‐45 to regulate brassinosteroid signaling and rice architecture

open access: yesNew Phytologist, EarlyView.
A working model for GLYCOGEN SYNTHASE KINASE 3‐mediated phosphorylation of FLOWERING CONTROL LOCUS A in the regulation of brassinosteroid signaling and rice growth and development. Summary Brassinosteroid (BR) signaling plays a critical role in rice (Oryza sativa L.) grain development.

Simplified sonic-boom prediction

open access: yes, 1978
Sonic boom overpressures and signature duration may be predicted for the entire affected ground area for a wide variety of supersonic airplane configurations and spacecraft operating at altitudes up to 76 km in level flight or in moderate climbing or ...

Numerical simulations of sonic boom propagation over urban areas

open access: yes, 2022
International audienceAcceptability of supersonic transportation by population requires an accurate prediction of ground noise levels generated by sonic boom. This study aims at predicting sonic boom propagation over urban areas.

Elevation shapes alpine snow algal blooms and their influence on albedo reduction

open access: yesNew Phytologist, EarlyView.
Graphical summary of elevational trends in Sanguina‐dominated snow algal blooms. Increasing elevation was associated with larger cells, lower Chla content per cell, higher astaxanthin ratios, lower snow water content, and reduced cell‐normalized albedo, whereas algal cell density showed no consistent elevational trend.

Sonic Boom Prediction and Mitigation using Three-Dimensional Earth Effects

open access: yes, 2018
As the industry progresses towards realizing a commercial supersonic aircraft, the push to reduce noise from sonic boom has intensified. This emphasizes the need to better understand and accurately model the underlying physics and seek ways to reduce ...

Spaceborne and spaceborn: Physiological aspects of pregnancy and birth during interplanetary flight

open access: yesExperimental Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract Crewed interplanetary return missions that are on the planning horizon will take years, more than enough time for initiation and completion of a pregnancy. Pregnancy is viewed as a sequence of processes – fertilization, blastocyst formation, implantation, gastrulation, placentation, organogenesis, gross morphogenesis, birth and neonatal ...
