Electrically Conductive Nanocarbon/Elastomer Composite Inks for Flexible and Wearable Strain Sensing
An eco‐friendly ink combining carbon nano‐onions, carbon nanotubes, and a SEBS elastomer is formulated in biomass‐derived 2‐MeTHF. Dip‐coated and blade‐coated strain sensors show high conductivity, mechanical flexibility, and stable performance under repeated compression and tension.

Shock-tube measurements of carbon to oxygen atom ratios for incipient soot formation with C2H2, C2H4 and C2H6 fuels [PDF]
The critical atomic carbon to oxygen ratios, Phi sub C, for incipient soot formation in shock heated acetylene, ethylene, ethane/oxygen/ argon mixtures was measured over the temperature range 2000 K to 2500 K for reactant partial pressures between 0.1 ...

Identification of Nanoplastics by Probing the Viscous Nanoenvironment
An approach for the sensitive detection of nanoplastics is developed by probing the viscous nanoenvironment. The probe, HCY, shows a high sensitivity to nanoplastics, with a detection limit of 0.153 μg mL−1. It exhibits excellent biocompatibility, allowing the monitoring of nanoplastic levels in living cells and the visualization of their distribution ...

Different characteristics of char and soot in the atmosphere and their ratio as an indicator for source identification in Xi'an, China [PDF]
Numerous definitions and analytical techniques for elemental (or black) carbon (EC) have been published in the scientific literature, but still no generally accepted interdisciplinary definition exists. EC is not a single chemical compound, but is mainly

Maximizing the detection probabilities of dusky grouse for population monitoring
Despite its status as a game species in the western USA, rigorous monitoring of dusky grouse Dendragapus obscurus populations is limited. Obtaining an adequate number of observations for effective population monitoring of dusky grouse is challenging due to difficult‐to‐reach montane habitats, cryptic behaviors, and limited personnel, time, and funds at

Dusky grouse seasonal resource selection in the Great Basin isolated mountain ranges of Nevada, USA
Dusky grouse Dendragapus obscurus are a montane forest grouse species with a paucity of information regarding their temporal and spatial resource use during critical times of high mortality and reproductive output. This lack of vital data may leave dusky grouse at risk of sub‐optimal management in many areas of their distribution, especially in the ...
