Bifid Throats for Axion Monodromy Inflation [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
We construct a simple explicit local geometry providing a `bifid throat' for 5-brane axion monodromy. A bifid throat is a throat that splits into two daughter throats in the IR, containing a homologous 2-cycle family reaching down into each daughter throat.

Comparative study of dexamethasone nebulisation with magnesium sulphate nebulisation in preventing post operative sore throat following endotracheal intubation

open access: yes, 2018
Introduction: Post-operative sore throat is one of the most common complications following endotracheal intubation. Though considered minor complication, it may cause significant patient dis-satisfaction.

The global burden of sore throat and group A Streptococcus pharyngitis: A systematic review and meta-analysis

open access: yesEClinicalMedicine, 2022
Summary: Background: Contemporary data for the global burden of sore throat and group A Streptococcus (Strep A) pharyngitis are required to understand the frequency of disease and develop value propositions for Strep A vaccines.

Benzydamine gargle versus ketamine gargle for postoperative sore throat

open access: yesMedicine Science, 2018
Postoperative sore throat is usually accepted as a minor complication, however it contributes to patient dissatisfaction. The primary aim of this study is to compare the effects of two different therapies for postoperative sore throat.

Comparison of Usefulness of Ketamine and Magnesium Sulfate Nebulizations for Attenuating Postoperative Sore Throat, Hoarseness of Voice, and Cough

open access: yesAnesthesia Essays and Researches, 2017
Context: Postoperative sore throat (POST) is a complication that is unresolved in patients undergoing endotracheal intubation. Aim: To compare the effects of ketamine and magnesium sulfate nebulizations in two strengths, on the incidence and severity of ...

Throat Finding Algorithms based on Throat Types [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2014
The three-dimensional geometry and connectivity of pore space determines the flow of single-phase incompressible flow. Herein I report on new throat finding algorithms that contribute to finding the exact flow-relevant geometrical properties of the void space, including high porosity samples of X2B images, three-dimensional synchrotron X-ray computed ...
