Copper Accumulation and Tolerance in Chrysanthemum coronarium L. and Sorghum sudanense L.
Archives of Environmental Contamination and Toxicology, 2008In the present study, the growth of Chrysanthemum coronarium L. and Sorghum sudanense L. and their copper accumulation were studied using hydroponic experiments. Results showed that the root elongation, dry biomass yield, and chlorophyll content in both plant species decreased significantly with the increasing level of Cu in solution.

A chromosome-scale genome sequence of sudangrass (Sorghum sudanense) highlights the genome evolution and regulation of dhurrin biosynthesis [PDF]
Sudangrass [ Sorghum sudanense (Piper) Stapf] is a hybrid between grain sorghum and its wild relative S. bicolor ssp. verticilliflorum and is grown as a forage crop due to its high biomass production and low dhurrin content compared to sorghum.

Products were collected from rhizospheres of a hydroponically grown sorghum-sudangrass hybrid [Sorghum bicolor(L.) Moench. ×Sorghum sudanense(P.) Stapf. ‘DeKalb SX17+’] (SSH) and tested for effects on seedling root growth of selected species. Phytotoxic activity was recovered in CH2Cl2extracts of aqueous solutions of the rhizosphere products ...

An experiment was conducted at Anand during rainy (kharif) season of 2004 and 2005 to study the effect of in- tegrated N management on yield and quality of multi-cut forage sorghum (Sorghum sudanense L.). Application of 75 kg N through urea + 25 kg Nlha through farmyard manure (FYM) recorded significantly higher green-forage, dry-matter and crude ...

Abstract The purpose of this work was to examine the effect of Azospirillum brasilense inoculation on root development in the hybrid Sorghum bicolor × Sorghum sudanense, and the possible involvement of auxin in this effect. Scanning electron photographs of inoculated roots revealed an increase in root diameter and in the density and length of root ...

Uzgoj sudanske trave (Sorghum sudanense L.) i iscrpljivanje tla
