The estates of the Sorgo family, one of the most prominent families of the Dubrovnik nobility, in the Pelješac area can be traced back to the first division of the Pelješac land in the 14th century. When the land in Pelješac was divided up in the 14th century, Dubrovnik noble families received around 290 out of 300 parts.

Colorimetric determination of aconitic acid in sorgo
Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 1968In a rapid colorimetric method for the determination of aconitic acid in sorgo juice, the acid is extracted from clarified starch-free juice with 2-butanone after lowering the juice pH to 1.3.
