The spread of non‐native species

open access: yesBiological Reviews, Volume 101, Issue 3, Page 1197-1234, June 2026.
ABSTRACT The global redistribution of species through human agency is one of the defining ecological signatures of the Anthropocene, with biological invasions reshaping biodiversity patterns, ecosystem processes and services, and species interactions globally.

Vpliv vršičkanja na pridelek kanabinoidov in morfološke značilnosti industrijske konoplje (Cannabis sativa L.)

open access: yesHmeljarski Bilten

open access: yesThe ESPecialist, 2015
Este artigo sistematiza a noção de Saberes Práticos de Sobrevivência a partir da junção dos conceitos de saberes (Geertz, 1983/2009; Tardif, 2002) com as estratégias de sobrevivência em sala de aula de Woods (1990).

Climate Change Reduces Habitat Suitability of the Endemic Iranian Ground‐Jay (Podoces pleskei): Spatial Analyses to Guide Conservation Strategies

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 6, June 2026.
Pleske's ground jay (Podoces pleskei), an endemic bird of Iran's drylands, faces severe habitat loss due to climate change and human activities. Using ecological niche models and GIS analyses, we identified key environmental drivers of its distribution and found that 52% of suitable habitat is projected to be lost, with much of the remaining range ...

The Mussels That Came in From the Cold: Long‐Term Effects of the Population Collapse in the 1960s May Explain Low Abundances of Boreal Mussels in the Subarctic Despite the Warming

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 6, June 2026.
Arctic warming is predicted to have a positive effect on boreal species. To test this hypothesis, we gathered and analyzed two datasets on blue mussels Mytilus from the Murman Coast of the Barents Sea. The first dataset contained data on the age structure of a mussel population monitored from 2001 to 2020, while the second dataset contained data on ...

Migration speed, timing, and long‐term shifts in age structure in North American passerines during fall migration

open access: yesEcography, Volume 2026, Issue 6, June 2026.
Migration is challenging for birds, especially juveniles, who experience high mortality rates during migration. The challenge is exacerbated in the Anthropocene, contributing to widespread population declines. Conservation efforts focused on increasing juvenile survival could bolster population recovery.
