Sorting a Low-Entropy Sequence
We give the first sorting algorithm with bounds in terms of higher-order entropies: let $S$ be a sequence of length $m$ containing $n$ distinct elements and let (H_\ell (S)) be the $\ell$th-order empirical entropy of $S$, with (n^{\ell + 1} \log n \in O (

On Batcher's merge sorts as parallel sorting algorithms
We examine the average running times of Batcher's bitonic merge and Batcher's odd-even merge when they are used as parallel merging algorithms. It has been shown previously that the running time of odd-even merge can be upper bounded by a function of the maximal rank difference for elements in the two input sequences.

ABSTRACT Background SOX1 antibody‐positive paraneoplastic neurological syndromes (PNS) exhibit significant population‐specific clinical heterogeneity. While Western cohorts predominantly manifest Lambert‐Eaton myasthenic syndrome (65%–80%), comprehensive clinical characterization and treatment response data in Asian populations remain critically ...

Neuroinflammation in GAD65 Antibody‐Associated Epilepsy Measured Using [18F]DPA‐714 PET/MRI
ABSTRACT The timing for initiating immunotherapy in patients with glutamic acid decarboxylase 65 (GAD65) antibody‐associated epilepsy is a challenge. We used the translocator protein radioligand [18F]DPA‐714 and PET to evaluate brain microglial activation.

This review summarizes artificial intelligence (AI)‐supported nonpharmacological interventions for adults with chronic rheumatic diseases, detailing their components, purpose, and current evidence base. We searched Embase, PubMed, Cochrane, and Scopus databases for studies describing AI‐supported interventions for adults with chronic rheumatic diseases.

This study represents the usage of data preprocessing for performance improvement of sorting algorithms. Combining of different basic sorting algorithms was already successfully used to outperform any sole algorithm. The purpose of this research is to discover and estimate different ways to reorganize unsorted data just before executing the main ...

Hydroxychloroquine Associated With Lower Glomerular Filtration Rate Decline in Lupus Nephritis
Objective Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) protects kidney function in lupus nephritis (LN) by preventing flares, yet some cohort studies show no significant benefit in kidney function with HCQ. Clarifying these conflicting findings by showing early and long‐term benefits of HCQ on kidney function preservation is critical.

Objective We aimed to identify unique disease trajectories within rheumatoid arthritis–associated interstitial lung disease (RA‐ILD) based on longitudinal forced vital capacity (FVC) values and their associated clinical outcomes. Methods We performed a cohort study of RA‐ILD within the Veterans Health Administration from 1999 to 2021.
