Fluctuation sound absorption in quark matter [PDF]

open access: yesMod. Phys. Lett. A, Vol. 31, No. 32 (2016) 1650179, 2016
We investigate the sound absorption in quark matter due to the interaction of the sound wave with the precritical fluctuations of the diquark-pair field above $T_c$. The soft collective mode of the pair field is derived using the time dependent Ginzburg-Landau functional with random Langevin forces.

Nonlinear acousto-electric transport in a two-dimensional electron system

open access: yes, 2000
We study both theoretically and experimentally the nonlinear interaction between an intense surface acoustic wave and a two-dimensional electron plasma in semiconductor-piezocrystal hybrid structures.

Akytojo betono garso absorbcijos tyrimai/Porous concrete sound absorption investigation

open access: yesJournal of Civil Engineering and Management, 1996
Low-density porous concrete can be used as a sound absorbing material. This paper generalizes porous concrete sound absorption investigations. Porous concrete relative wave resistance modulus is longer than air wave resistance W=1 and that is why this

Optimization design of a micro-perforated panel absorber with 8.6 octave bands [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
In order to improve low-frequency characteristics of micro-perforated panel absorbers, sound absorption structures composed of micro-perforated panels and expansion chambers are design, and an optimization design method is constructed based on the transfer function model and the simulated annealing algorithm.

Ultra-open High-efficiency Ventilated Metamaterial Absorbers with Customized Broadband Performance [PDF]

open access: yesExtreme Mechanics Letters, 39, 100786 (2020), 2019
High-efficiency absorption of low-frequency sounds (< 1000 Hz) while maintaining a free flow of fluids remains a significant challenge in acoustical engineering due to the rigid trade-off between absorption and ventilation performances. Although ongoing advances in acoustic metamaterials have unlocked unprecedented possibilities and various ...

Sound absorption properties of aluminum sponges manufactured by infiltration process [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In this paper, the sound absorption properties of aluminum sponges manufactured by infiltration process have been studied. The results show that the sound absorption factor α changes in function of pore size.

Sound attenuation in the superconducting amorphous alloy ZrTiCuNiBe [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
The superconducting energy gap and the parameter of the intensity of electron scattering at two-level systems in amorphous ZrTiCuNiBe are determined from the results of measurements of sound attenuation.
