Sound source localization identification accuracy: Bandwidth dependencies
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2014Sound source localization accuracy using a sound source identification task was measured in the front, right quarter of the azimuth plane as rms (root-mean-square) error (degrees) for stimulus conditions in which the bandwidth (1/20 to 2 octaves wide) and center frequency (250, 2000, 4000 Hz) of 200-ms noise bursts were varied.

Sound source localization by fishes
Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2016The ability to locate sound sources enables animals to detect prey, avoid predators, and communicate with conspecifics, and is thus basic to the survival of many vertebrate species. Evidence suggests that the capacity to locate sound sources is common to amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals, but surprisingly it is not known whether fish locate ...

Speaker localization using stereo-based sound source localization
International Workshop on Systems, Signal Processing and their Applications, WOSSPA, 2011Our present paper deals with the problem of audio speaker localization, which consists in determining the position of the active speaker in a meeting-room. This step represents the first task of speaker tracking, which is the global purpose of our research work. In this approach, two-channel-based (stereo) estimation of the speaker position is achieved

Sound Source Localization and Tracking
2015Sound source localization and tracking plays an important role in a teleconferencing system and social robot applications. Given the location of a sound, the social robot can be endowed with the capability of sound event awareness, which results in enhanced interaction with human beings.

TSSL: Trusted Sound Source Localization
INTER-NOISE and NOISE-CON Congress and Conference ProceedingsDespite significant advancements in the accuracy of sound source localization, the confidence and robustness of the results still require improvement. Conducting uncertainty estimation can effectively alleviate this problem, since it provides a measure of confidence in the sound source localization results.

Biological sound source localization
