This study comprises three experimental parts. Part 1. Time‐course of ouabain‐induced hearing loss. Rats received ouabain (10 mM) via round window application. ABR/DPOAE tests and histological analyses were performed at 2, 7, and 30 days post‐treatment to characterize SGN and glial cell degeneration. Part 2.

Color‐pure all‐organic emitters, i.e., with narrow spectral characteristics, are intensively studied for high‐definition organic LEDs and multi‐color bioimaging. In order to guide targeted materials design, this educative review discusses spectral characteristics, proper definitions and units, and the physical basis of spectral broadening, to distill ...

The graphical abstract shows how molecular biology research has shifted from using traditional animal models toward using methods that are more relevant to humans. It points out the main problems, differences between species, difficulty in reproducing results, moral issues, and lack of infrastructure that make translational accuracy harder to achieve ...

ABSTRACT This study presents the design and construction of an experimental system for evaluating the thermal performance of heat pipes, using sintered‐wick heat pipes charged with CuO nanofluids. The device used in this study is a sintered‐wick heat pipe, in which the liquid return is driven by capillary forces within the porous wick structure.

Sound-source localization when listeners and/or sound sources move
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2021In the dynamic everyday world, sound sources and/or listeners move when animals attempt to localize sound sources. Determining sound-source locations in these dynamic scenarios requires several computations by the brain. The auditory-spatial cues (Interaural Time Differences, ITDs; Interaural Level Differences, ITDS; and spectral cues associated with ...
