Autoencoder Architectures for Low-Rate Sparse Point Cloud Geometry Coding

open access: yesIEEE Access
Efficient compression of sparse point cloud geometry remains a critical challenge in 3D content processing, particularly for low-rate scenarios where conventional codecs struggle to maintain efficiency. This work proposes a system-level framework for low-

Source code analysis dataset

open access: yesData in Brief, 2019
The data in this article pair source code with three artifacts from 108,568 projects downloaded from Github that have a redistributable license and at least 10 stars. The first set of pairs connects snippets of source code in C, C++, Java, and Python with their corresponding comments, which are extracted using Doxygen.

Improving PARP inhibitor efficacy in bladder cancer without genetic BRCAness by combination with PLX51107

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Clinical trials on PARP inhibitors in urothelial carcinoma (UC) showed limited efficacy and a lack of predictive biomarkers. We propose SLFN5, SLFN11, and OAS1 as UC‐specific response predictors. We suggest Talazoparib as the better PARP inhibitor for UC than Olaparib.

Cytoplasmic p21 promotes stemness of colon cancer cells via activation of the NFκB pathway

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytoplasmic p21 promotes colorectal cancer stem cell (CSC) features by destabilizing the NFκB–IκB complex, activating NFκB signaling, and upregulating BCL‐xL and COX2. In contrast to nuclear p21, cytoplasmic p21 enhances spheroid formation and stemness transcription factor CD133.

Source Coding with Fixed Lag Side Information

open access: yes, 2004
We consider source coding with fixed lag side information at the decoder. We focus on the special case of perfect side information with unit lag corresponding to source coding with feedforward (the dual of channel coding with feedback) introduced by ...

Cis‐regulatory and long noncoding RNA alterations in breast cancer – current insights, biomarker utility, and the critical need for functional validation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The noncoding region of the genome plays a key role in regulating gene expression, and mutations within these regions are capable of altering it. Researchers have identified multiple functional noncoding mutations associated with increased cancer risk in the genome of breast cancer patients.
