A Bayesian approach for identification of the pollution source in water quality model coupled with hydrodynamics

open access: yes工程科学与技术, 2009
:There lies much uncertainty in the environmental hydraulics system, such as the uncertainty of the measurement data, therefore the kind of pollution source identification problem is ill-posed, especially the non-unique. The classic regularization method

Numerical Solution of a Parabolic Source Identification Problem with Involution and Neumann Condition

open access: yes
In this paper, a space source identification problem for parabolic equation with involution and Neumann condition is studied. The well-posedness theorem on the differential equation of the source identification parabolic problem is established.

Early Clinical, Imaging, and Pathological Characteristics of SRPK3/TTN‐Digenic Myopathy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective SRPK3/TTN‐digenic myopathy was recently established as a skeletal muscle myopathy caused by digenic inheritance. This study characterizes the early clinical presentation of SRPK3/TTN‐digenic myopathy in one previously reported and seven newly identified pediatric patients.

Comprehensive Characterization of 98 Chinese Cases of Genetic Creutzfeldt‐Jakob Disease With T188K Mutation

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To characterize the demographic, clinical, and laboratory features of the Chinese patients of genetic Creutzfeldt‐Jakob disease with T188K variant (T188K‐gCJD), the most common subtype of genetic prion diseases (gPrDs) in China. Methods In this nationwide retrospective study, data from 98 genetically confirmed T188K‐gCJD patients ...

Space-time-dependent source identification problem for a subdiffusion equation

open access: yesEvolution Equations and Control Theory
In this paper, we investigate the inverse problem of determining the right-hand side of a subdiffusion equation with a Caputo time derivative, where the right-hand side depends on both time and certain spatial variables. Similar inverse problems have been previously explored for hyperbolic and parabolic equations, with some studies establishing the ...

Factors Associated With the Rising Trend in Self‐Reported Cognitive Disability Among U.S. Adults Aged 18–39 From 2013–2024

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Building on our prior Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System analysis identifying adults aged 18–39 as the primary driver of the national increase in self‐reported cognitive disability, we examined factors associated with this rise using 2013–2024 U.S. BRFSS data. Methods We analyzed U.S.

Gradient Methods for Source Identification Problems

open access: yes, 2020
In this thesis we are interested in the problem of identifying point sources in an advection-diffusion model, given some measurements. By writing the problem as a minimization problem, we use a non-linear conjugate gradient method in order to estimate the source location and the corresponding intensity. Several test cases are presented.
