Characteristics of source rocks, resource potential and exploration direction of Sinian-Cambrian in Sichuan Basin, China

open access: yesJournal of Natural Gas Geoscience, 2017
The Anyue giant gas field was discovered in the Sinian-Cambrian Central Sichuan region of the Sichuan Basin in 2013, with geological reserves up to 1 × 1012m3, which is the first time for the exploration of natural gas paleo-reservoirs in the world.

Electrospun Wood‐Derived Biopolymers as Electrodes in Electrochemical Energy Storage Technologies

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Electrospinning transforms wood‐derived cellulose and lignin into architecturally defined, binder‐free carbon electrodes with tuneable porosity and functionality. This review shows how fibre design enables decoupled charge and mass transport, enhancing performance across battery systems, while identifying key challenges in spinnability, scalability ...

Discovery of effective scale source rocks of the Ordovician Majiagou Fm in the Ordos Basin and its geological significance

open access: yesNatural Gas Industry B, 2016
There have been different views on the origins of gas reservoirs of Ordovician Majiagou Fm in the Ordos Basin, but none of them supports the opinion that there are scale source rocks (TOC>0.5%) in the Majiagou Fm.

Correlated Metal LaNiO3 as a p‐Type Transparent Conductor

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
p‐type transparent conducting oxides are needed to enable superstrate solar cell geometries with n‐type absorbers. The p‐type correlated metal LaNiO3 combines high optical transmission with low electrical resistivity and is compatible with a range of scalable deposition processes.

Spatiotemporal Variation in Mature Source Rocks Linked to the Generation of Various Hydrocarbons in the Fuxin Basin, Northeast China

open access: yesEnergies
The assessment of highly mature source rocks linked to hydrocarbon generation remains a challenge in oil and gas exploration. However, substantial terrigenous influences and thermal variations have complicated the formation and evolution of source rocks.

A Novel Modified Petroresin Particle (MPRP) With Enhanced Oil–Water Selectivity for Cold Production in Heavy Oil Reservoirs

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A novel oil–water selective conformance control agent, MPRP, is prepared via hydrophilic grafting and mechanical granulation. MPRP uniformly disperses in water, cohesively expands upon aging, and readily dissolves in the oil phase. During conformance control, it selectively aggregates in water channeling pathways to form effective plugs without ...

From Geometry to Function: Programmable Mechanical Response in 3D‐Printed Adipose‐Inspired Soft Metamaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Geometry‐driven design of soft cellular metamaterials is systematically investigated by combining experiments, finite element modeling, and statistical prediction. The study quantifies how unit cell geometry and material properties govern stiffness, instability, densification, and energy absorption.

Dopant Distribution in Ga‐Implanted CdO—A Correlative Microscopy and Molecular Dynamics Study

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates that ion implantation offset angle could modulate carrier concentration and mobility in cadmium oxide thin films. Combining correlative microscopy workflow and molecular dynamics simulations, this study reveals the control of interfacial cluster density with tailoring implantation angles, and the optimum offset angle that ...
