Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

BOROSILICATE GLASS FOAM EXPERIMENTALLY MANUFACTURED BY MICROWAVE IRRADIATION
A glass foam obtained by sintering at 790 ºC using borosilicate glass waste, carbon black (1%) as a foaming agent, Na2HPO4 (5.9%) as a stabilizing agent, Sb2O3 (0.8%) as an oxygen supplying agent and water addition (10%) as a binder was manufactured by ...

Foam glass gravel made from glass waste by microwave irradiation [PDF]
The experimental results of the manufacturing process of foam glass gravel using recycled glass waste (in very high ratio) are presented in the paper. The technique used for heating at 815-837 ºC of the raw material, composed of a powder mixture of glass,

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

CELLULAR GLASS MADE OF CATHODE RAY TUBE GLASS WASTE IN MICROWAVE FIELD
The paper presents a microwave based-nonconventional technique of manufacturing a cellular glass obtained by a heat treatment at 803 C of a powder mixture composed of glass waste from cathode ray tube (93 wt.%), MnO2 (7 wt.%) as a foaming agent and water

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Determinants of firms' inputs sourcing choices: the role of institutional and regulatory factors. ESRI WP599, September 2018 [PDF]
Using the theoretical framework of global sourcing with firm heterogeneity, we examine determinants of inputs sourcing choices of manufacturing firms established in the EU countries.

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.
