Multiferroic‐Centric Materials and Systems Engineering for Battery Applications: An Insight Into Mechanisms, Strategies, and Characterizations

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Multiferroic order parameters – polarization, magnetization, and ferroelastic strain – are positioned as dynamic design variables for batteries. Their mechanistic roles, practical tuning through fabrication and external fields, and ferroic‐resolved characterization routes are unified into a closed‐loop framework, revealing how coupled ferroic responses

Plaid‐Like Spin Splitting and Chirality of Magnon Bands in Antiferromagnetic MnTe2

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Helicity‐ and angle‐resolved Raman spectroscopy reveals chiral magnons in the non‐coplanar antiferromagnet MnTe 2. Combined with first‐principles calculations and spin‐wave theory, the results establish its altermagnetic character through circular Raman dichroism, reduced rotational symmetry, and a distinctive plaid‐like momentum‐space magnon spin ...

Lunar Polar Dichotomy: Insights from Crater Morphometry

open access: yesThe Planetary Science Journal
The lunar poles exhibit a puzzling dichotomy in crater depth-to-diameter ( d / D ) ratios. At the south pole, crater depths decrease toward the pole, and previous studies have mainly attributed this trend to water-ice infilling.

MEDICAL INVESTIGATION ON THE WINTERING MEMBERS OF THE 9TH JAPANESE ANTARCTIC RESEARCH EXPEDITION I. PHYSIOLOGICAL ASPECTS

open access: yesAntarctic Record, 1970
Physiological reactions to the cold of 29 wintering members of the 9th Japanese Antaractic Research Expedition (1968-1969) were studied at Syowa Station, Antarctica, and during the South Pole Traverse.

Systemic Nanomechanical Single‐Cell Profiling Reveals Mechanophenotype Transitions Under Therapeutic Perturbation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Single‐cell mechanomics demonstrates that pharmacological perturbation changes cytoskeletal and cortical structure, suppressing cancer cell invasiveness. By integrating atomic force microscopy (AFM)‐based cortical measurements with stimulated emission depletion (STED)‐resolved adhesion and cytoskeletal organization, this approach identifies nanoscale ...

Surface Roughness at the Moon’s South Pole: The Influence of Condensed Volatiles on Surface Roughness at the Moon’s South Pole

open access: yesThe Planetary Science Journal
Condensed volatiles within lunar permanently shadowed regions are of high scientific and resource utilization importance. Volatiles remain elusive and difficult to observe directly, due to low direct solar illumination.

Ferroelectric Catalysts in the Hydrogen Evolution Reaction: A Perspective

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This perspective summarizes recent advances in ferroelectric (FE) catalysts for the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). It first introduces HER fundamentals and FE mechanisms, then classifies FE catalysts into single‐phase, single‐atom‐modified, heterostructured, and other engineered types, with representative examples.

Slope Stability Analysis and Soil Mechanical Properties of Impact Craters around the Lunar South Pole

open access: yesRemote Sensing
Water ice has been found in the permanently shadowed regions of impact craters around the lunar South Pole, which makes them ideal areas for in situ exploration missions.
