Boosting Ferroelectricity: 2D and Polymer Ferroelectric Hybrids Enabling Ambipolar Nonvolatile MoS2 Memory Transistor

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Two‐dimensional CuInP2S6 nanosheets are incorporated into a P(VDF‐TrFE) matrix to induce polarization‐cooperative ferroelectric coupling. The resulting P(VDF‐TrFE)/CuInP2S6 hybrid film exhibits reinforced ferroelectric ordering and reduced coercive electric fields compared with pristine P(VDF‐TrFE).

A Comprehensive Microbial Gene Catalog of the Human Airway Microbiome Across Anatomical Sites and Geographic Regions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An integrated Human Airway Microbiome Gene Catalog (iHAMGC) is constructed from 12,273 metagenomic airway samples, providing a high‐resolution reference of respiratory microbial genes. The catalog enables systematic exploration of taxonomic and functional variation across airway niches and geographic regions, revealing site‐specific and region ...

ON THE OCCURRENCE OF NEOGLOBOQUADRINA ACOSTAENSIS IN UPPER SERRAVALLIAN SEDIMENTS OF SICILY

open access: yesRivista Italiana di Paleontologia e Stratigrafia, 2020
Neogloboquadrina acostaensis, typical Tortonian taxon, was found in Upper Serravallian sediments in a core collected in the southern offshore of Sicily. Whether the FAD of this taxon is to be considered older is here questioned.

Trafficking Deficiency of TMEM175 Variants in Parkinson's Disease Pathogenesis and the Prospects of Precision Medicine

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies that the PD‐associated TMEM175‐L156P variant disrupts lysosomal ion channel trafficking by causing aberrant endoplasmic reticulum retention. A “chaperone–agonist” bifunctional small molecule restores TMEM175‐L156P lysosomal localization and channel function, thereby alleviating PD‐relevant cellular phenotypes and highlighting a ...

Magnetoelectric Nanoparticles Enable Modulation of Cortical Networks by Low‐Intensity Static Magnetic Fields In Vitro

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Neuromodulation strategies are increasingly needed to stimulate, restore, or replace altered neuronal activity in disease. Cobalt ferrite‐barium titanate (CFO–BTO) magnetoelectric nanoparticles convert low‐intensity static magnetic fields into local electrical modulation of cortical networks.

Low‐Power Control Of Resistance Switching Transitions in First‐Order Memristors

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Joule losses are a serious concern in modern integrated circuit design. In this regard, minimizing the energy necessary for programming memristors should be handled with care. This manuscript presents an optimal control framework, allowing to derive energy‐efficient programming voltage protocols for resistance switching devices. Following this approach,

Subaltern ecologies in southern Italy

open access: yesAmbiente & Sociedade
Italy is a country marked by serious inequalities between its northern and southern regions in terms of welfare, economic production and level of public services. Southern Italy has also suffered serious cases of environmental devastation.

Application of field surveys and multitemporal in-SAR interferometry analysis in the recognition of deep-seated gravitational slope deformation of an urban area of Southern Italy

open access: yesGeomatics, Natural Hazards & Risk, 2019
The analysis of 4 year In-SAR Interferometry images and a detailed geomorphological survey have been carried out to detect a large Deep-Seated Gravitational Slopes (DSGSD) affecting the urban area of the Episcopia village, in Southern Italy.

Stability of PEA2PbBr4 Thin‐Film Photodetectors under Thermal and Moisture Stress

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates the environmental durability of 2D perovskite photodetectors under extreme heat and humidity. While pristine films degrade in harsh environmental conditions, adding a halogen‐bonding agent significantly improves stability. This passivated device maintains stable performance in conditions mimicking space and solar applications ...
