Occurrence and integrated control of major rice diseases in China
Rice is constantly under threat from a variety of pathogens. This review highlights the major diseases affecting rice in China, including three fungal diseases, two bacterial diseases, two viral diseases, and one nematode. The review also proposes future directions for an integrated approach to control these significant rice diseases.

Complex interactions among insect viruses‐insect vector‐arboviruses
Abstract Insects are the host or vector of diverse viruses including those that infect vertebrates, plants, and fungi. Insect viruses reside inside their insect hosts and are vertically transmitted from parent to offspring. The insect virus–host relationship is intricate, as these viruses can impact various aspects of insect biology, such as ...

The mRNA surveillance factor Pelo restricts rice virus propagation in insect vectors and host plants
Many devastating plant viruses are transmitted by insect vectors among plant hosts in a persistent-propagative manner. Pelota (Pelo) is an evolutionarily conserved protein involved in the mRNA surveillance system.
