Profiling of Phakopsora pachyrhizi transcriptome revealed co-expressed virulence effectors as prospective RNA interference targets for soybean rust management.

Journal of Integrative Plant Biology
Soybean rust (SBR), caused by an obligate biotrophic pathogen Phakopsora pachyrhizi, is a devastating disease of soybean worldwide. However, the mechanisms underlying plant invasion by P. pachyrhizi are poorly understood, which hinders the development of

Soybean Rust Development and the Quantitative Relationship Between Rust Severity and Soybean Yield

Plant Disease, 1991
Phakospora pachyrhizi was inoculated on two soybean (Glycine max) genotypes at three different reproductive growth stages (GS) in four trials. Leaf rust was more severe on Taita Kaohsiung No. 5 (TK 5), a commercial cultivar, than on SRE-B15-A (B15 A), a genotype selected for tolerance to leaf rust.

Climatic risk for Asian soybean rust occurrence in Mato Grosso, Rio Grande do Sul and Paraná states

Revista Brasileira de Engenharia Agrícola e Ambiental - Agriambi
Asian soybean rust is a primary factor affecting soybean production. Climate risk knowledge optimizes agricultural management, reduces pesticide use, and promotes environmental sustainability. The objective of this study was to evaluate the climatic risk

Economic Impacts of Soybean Rust on the US Soybean Sector

2009
The spread of Asian Soybean Rust (ASR) represents a real threat to the U.S. soybean sector. We assess the potential impacts of ASR on domestic soybean production and commodity markets as well as the competitive position of the US in the soybean export market. We develop a mathematical stochastic dynamic sector model with endogenous prices to assess the
