Mulching Increases Water Use Efficiency, Production and Profitability in Forage Cactus–Maize Intercropping Systems
Irrigation and Drainage, EarlyView.ABSTRACT
This study evaluated the growth, forage production, soil water balance, water indices, biological efficiency and competitive capacity of forage cactus and maize in monoculture and intercropping, with or without mulch. The experiment was conducted in Serra Talhada, Pernambuco, Brazil, using the cactus clone ‘Orelha de Elefante Mexicana’ (OEM ...Kaique Renan da Silva Salvador, Mário Adriano Ávila Queiroz, Cleber Pereira Alves, José Edson Florentino de Morais, Carlos André Alves de Souza, Agda Raiany Mota dos Santos, Ênio Gomes Flôr Souza, Jose Madson da Silva, Fabiano Barbosa de Souza Prates, Randerson Cavalcante Silva, Adriano do Nascimento Simões, Hugo Rafael Bentzen Santos, Luciana Sandra Bastos de Souza, Thieres George Freire da Silva +13 morewiley +1 more sourceThe Role of Ultrasound across the Continuum of Care for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine, EarlyView.Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is the most common upper limb entrapment neuropathy and a leading cause of pain, functional impairment, and surgical referral. This article demonstrates the central role of ultrasound (US) across the continuum of CTS care, both for confirming the CTS diagnosis and for guiding treatments ranging from perineural injections to Christopher M. Allergy, EarlyView.ABSTRACT Background
Allergic rhinitis (AR) impacts quality of life, work and school productivity. Over the last years, an important body of evidence resulting from mHealth data has led to a better understanding of AR. Such advances have motivated an EAACI‐endorsed update of the Allergic Rhinitis and its Impact on Asthma (ARIA) guidelines (ARIA 2024 ...Bernardo Sousa‐Pinto, Jean Bousquet, Rafael José Vieira, Holger J. Allergy, EarlyView. No stable features were identified as associated with asthma symptom control in transcriptomics or sputum proteomics. Higher TWEAKR/TNFRSF12A and MBL/MBP‐C serum levels increased the odds of uncontrolled symptoms, while higher MK08/MAPK8 and CD5L serum levels decreased the odds, after adjustment for clinical variables.Joana Antão, Guilherme Rodrigues, Nazanin Zounemat‐Kermani, Paolo Montuschi, Qichen Deng, Frits M.
