Space-time adaptive mismatch processing
2016 IEEE Radar Conference (RadarConf), 2016Conventional signal processing for GMTI radar (pulse-compression and STAP clutter-cancellation applied sequentially) results in significant losses when pulse-to-pulse waveform diversity is used, because of range-sidelobe modulation. This report describes STAMMP, a method for joint pulse-compression, beamforming, and Doppler processing that mitigates ...

Iterative Space-Time Adaptive Processing
2009 IEEE 13th Digital Signal Processing Workshop and 5th IEEE Signal Processing Education Workshop, 2009To reduce the need of secondary data and/or accurate prior knowledge of the clutter statistics in space-time adaptive processing (STAP), we present herein a user parameter-free and secondary data-free fully automatic weighted least squares based iterative adaptive approach (IAA) to angle-Doppler imaging for airborne surveillance radar systems.

Multi-Waveform Space-Time Adaptive Processing
IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems, 2017A new form of space-time adaptive processing (STAP) is presented that leverages additional training data obtained from waveform-diverse pulse compression filters possessing low cross-correlation with the primary waveform that is used for traditional airborne and space-based ground moving target indication.

Multichannel space-time adaptive processing
Conference Record of The Twenty-Ninth Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems and Computers, 2002A new recursive processing technique for space-time adaptive processing (STAP) is developed and applied to the airborne MTI radar problem. Unlike the conventional approach, the expanding block structure of the covariance matrix is exploited for updating the covariance matrix inverse as each pulse is received.

Knowledge-based space-time adaptive processing
Proceedings of the 1997 IEEE National Radar Conference, 2002This paper describes an innovative concept for knowledge-based control of space-time adaptive processing (STAP). The knowledge-based approach holds potential for significant performance improvements over classical STAP processing in non-homogeneous environments by taking advantage of a priori knowledge.
