Three‐Element Non‐Uniform Linear Array Design Strategy for Mobile Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing Radar Using Supervised Displaced Phase Centre Antenna

open access: yesIET Radar, Sonar &Navigation, Volume 19, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
We propose a three‐element non‐uniform linear array (NULA) design strategy for OFDM‐based radar on a moving platform, optimizing multi‐channel DPCA processing with the T‐DPCA‐RF filter. Unlike heuristic approaches, our method constrains the DPCA filter response to avoid blind velocity effects within a target velocity range.

Une nouvelle décomposition tensorielle orthogonale, l'Alternative Unfolding HOSVD. Application au STAP Polarimétrique [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
National audienceDans cet article, on propose d'étendre les méthodes rang faible de traitement d'antenne à des cas multidimensionnelles. Deux types de méthodes peuvent être envisagés : l'approche vectorielle et l'approche tensorielle.

Intent Inference and Syntactic Tracking with GMTI Measurements

open access: yes, 2011
In conventional target tracking systems, human operators use the estimated target tracks to make higher level inference of the target behaviour/intent. This paper develops syntactic filtering algorithms that assist human operators by extracting spatial ...

The effectiveness of cryostimulation exposure on sleep and recovery in male athletes: Timing considerations

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Sport Science, Volume 24, Issue 12, Page 1788-1797, December 2024.
Abstract The objectives of the study were (i) to evaluate the effects of whole‐body cryostimulation (WBC) after training as an effective tool to improve sleep and recovery and (ii) to determine which exposure schedule for WBC (immediately after training vs. 1h before bedtime) is the most appropriate to improve sleep and recovery.

Exploiting persymmetry for JDL-STAP

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
Joint domain localisation (JDL) is a popular reduced-dimension space-time adaptive processing (STAP) technique for clutter suppression in an air-borne radar system.

Space-Time Adaptive Processing (STAP) Developments in Thales

open access: yes, 2009
Space-Time Adaptive Processing (STAP) has been shown to provide significant improvements in many different application areas [1]. Though similar in principle, those applications exhibit specificities, related for example to the characteristics of the antenna arrays and to the statistical properties of the involved signals.

Robust Covariance Matrix Estimation for Radar Space-Time Adaptive Processing (STAP)

open access: yes, 2016
Estimating the disturbance or clutter covariance is a centrally important problem in radar space time adaptive processing (STAP). The disturbance covariance matrix should be inferred from training sample observations in practice. Large number of homogeneous training samples are generally not available because of difficulty of guaranteeing target free ...

Three-dimensional sparse recovery space-time adaptive processing for airborne radar

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
Conventional 3-dimensional (3D) space-time adaptive processing (STAP) has achieved good performance for non-stationary clutter suppression. However, the performance of 3D STAP rapidly degrades when applied to heterogeneous clutter environment due to the ...
